I've seen a lot of your hands posted and a common theme has emerged. I'm not sure what bet-sizing strategy you are following, but it isn't the one PokerStrategy recommends.

You are on the BB with a premium hand and a hand that does not want a multi-way pot. Your minimum raise is going to be 4xbb + 1bb per limper and thus $0.12. Personally in this situation, since I will be first to act the rest of the hand, I like to consider my BB "dead" and raise it to $0.14.

Remember it is not about raising bigger to make UTG fold. You actually want him calling your raises with trash hands like J7s. It is about getting value from your entire range which is always head of his entire range.

The rest of the hand is fine, but I've seen these value issues in every recent hand you posted.

ok I will try and use Poker Strategy betting strategy. I have been useing Phil Gordon Betting Strategy of 4x bb in late 3x in middle and 2.5 utg.

Fair enough. I think even his strategy suggests 4x from the big blind though. (I haven't read any of his books, but I have watched a few of the FTPA videos.)

In any case I think in the micros you can stick to 4x from all positions. When you start running into regulars at 10nl and 25nl that is a good time to reconsider your preflop strategy. If you have less than 500 hands on someone then don't worry too much about it. Most micro players, even grinders with huds, don't take enough notes. :f_cool:

Cool Thanks.

I like this. And think about preflop sices, it is not an openraise here!
