Hero has AKs
$2.20 Rush Rebuy
4K/8K ante 900
60/2.548 left
Average around 200.000 chips

mp1 hero 220,900 raises 24,000
bu 127,672 calls 24,000
sb 586,965 raises to 108,000
hero??

So, how should one play vs. a chip leader? Would it be standard to reshove AK against a quite probable steal and probably flip for your tournament despite having 30bb or play safe and wait for a better spot? Or call/fold if not hitting, considering I still would have had 120K chips? I think this was the crucial hand of this tournament for me. After busting 33rd kinda regretted not playing to win on that hand.

with the dead-money from the BU in the pot, i don't think you can ever fold here. calling and then playing fit or fold is a no go since you'd invest half your stack for a 1/3 chance of hitting. so, imo, the only reasonable play here is to ship it. the chipleader might often enough show up with hands like AQ or AJs to make it profitable. Also, flipping against pocket pairs (you block many combos of the "evil" KK and AA) with that much money in the pot is absolutely fine since we're playing for the top money places.

u have no FE, but u have a strong hand

if he is no nit ... u should push it
u have some deadmoney in pot and u have enough equity again him

Player 1: 51,010% AKs
Player 2: 48,990% TT+, AQs+, AQo+
and its pssobel that he pushs looser

I just fold this against a nit or on FT bubble
