Bet turn to protect your over pair, e.g. if he winds up having A :club:K :club: he's going to have gotten to the River card to complete his flush for free..

On the river, given the way the hand played I think he's only ever rep'ing a flush, and if you are confident this player is bluffing you have the hand to call.. Its an odd spot, because with his stack size he should never really be bluffing off half his remaining stack on the river

Sabo :club:

looks nh , dont want to double him up so think would check turn as well , but the problem is you will get a river bet to call which is tough one to call as your only beating a bluff

yeah after thinking I tend to agree with bet turn, in fact as soon as i hit check i thought this.

some fairly solid arguments for folding river, I think you're right there too. If J was not a club he'd be bluffing far more and maybe i can call then

betting turn for value + protection and checking behind river if u dont hit str8 (cos imo no worse will call) is best imo

on river the thing is that your line looks like a draw when u check turn, and all draws get there and he is still betting into u, thats why i'm saying that u only have bluff catcher there on river.

PS. good that u edit your post and remove results

If we bet the turn we're commited. Why not check behind to pot control?

we need to bet turn for value and protection, protection from flush draw and random floats with over cards + we have OESD and vs BB stack im ok in getting it in on turn cos we r only drawing for split vs 98 (which are not that likely cos we have blockers, hero has 88) and we have 8-10 outs vs other made hands that had us beat in that spot (small str8/sets/2 pairs)

y
so we play bet/call
I think our hand is strong enough to call his remaining chips
we have a good made hand and a good draw ...
