All I said was BRM depends on person risk tolerance... After all what is difference if the money is in bank and you still consider it as poker BR and ready to deposit or all money is in poker room and you still ready to play with it... It's one's personal feel and free to do anything with it. Note that I'm not saying him to play higher limits with his all money...

Trying to live by other philosophy now, which for me is much more liberating for me and for the girls am involved with, but I am sure this is not what you expected me to answer.

Well if you want to move up the limits quicker, then i see no problem using aggressive BRM to do so, but still no less then 20BI considering no mater how good you are you can still lose 5 stacks in a 500 hands which isn't uncommon at all. Sometimes you just run terrible and can't win a hand and there's nothing you can do to change it, if a single draw doesn't get there and your opponents always hit.
But if you go for 20BI BRM you have to give yourself stop loss and move back down once you lose 5BI. Thats a lot considering losing 5BI on NL25 is 12.5BI on NL10. The fact is that skill level of your opponents doesn't really change that much from NL10 to NL25 and NL50, apart from a few more regs at the tables. But generally on those limits you still at least have 2-3 fish on the table.

If you take some time from her, and invest in poker, so you can grind in poker to improve a skill and BR you will make big improvement into your self improvement process(as a poker player) and to your relationship( girls love when their man have other passions in life beside them, and they also love when they cannot have you anytime they want )
Be nice to your girlfriend, but dont allow her nor anyone in your life to have such a big role, so you have to bend your goals/passions around them- in the long run its -EV .I wish you all the best and hope I didint bring it too harshly on you

@ others: thanks for your views on this. I have to say that I started playing again NL 50 with only 14 BIs. I know you are all going to scream but I wanted to deposit some money to close the gap with hte 20BIs and then told myself that in the bank or on my poker account it doesn't really make any difference so I didn't.
And I beleive that since I beat NL20 I should definitly be playing on NL 50 now to improve my game.
The fact that I play with only 14BIs doesn't really put some extra pressure on me as I don't really look that much at my BR when I play.
hmm... if using aggressive BRM is what got you down to the limits, then chosing to play with this aggressive BRM should already make you aware that you should be prepared to move up and down alot aswell. I mean if you then get stuck at a limit it's pretty much up to yourself weather you choose to deposit or not but I doubt it's the last time you will have this problem playing with aggressive BRM. Just my 2 cents

I wasn't stuck at NL 20 but it would take me long time to get my BR to the NL 50 20 BIs.
I consider my BR to be 20BIs (with 6BIs in my bank account) and not 14BIs
so hopefully it woudl take me longer to go down
Basically the situation is simple. I manage to study a good bit (lunch time or a bit during the day) where I can not play. So I think that I'm improving quicker than my BR grows. And I think that I have the skills to play at NL 50 now. So I don't want to be playing NL 20 for the next 3 months where I could be playing NL50.
