I feel I kinda turned my hand into a bluff. But the pot is big enough to justify this move imo. I get 2:1 odds and I might even get called by some FDs, KJ, QJ. No reads on opponent but any competent player would most likely fold too AQo there.

Stud and Razz only if I manage to play some hands (not very likely). I'd really like to qualify for the Rush Event. Gonna have to set up a schedule for playing the satellites. I have one question though: How many tries should I give a sat? I don't want to go out of BR to play them but it's also unlikely I'll win a ticket on my first try. I was thinking like 1/2 of Event Buy-in. Should it be less, should it be more? Do you recommend using FTPs, Iron Man Medals or FTPA Credits?

I see we're kind of in a similar situation, both playing NL10 rush FR atm And we both have sort of similar goals of reaching NL50 by the end of the year. I'll be following this blog on a daily basis, hope there will be lots of updates too

Don't know whats your usual daily/weekly volume, just asking cause I'm interested in your progress since we're on a same path!

GL in reaching your goals, wish you all the best! Maybe we can even work together and do some hand/session analysis over skype or put in a sweat session every now and then. Let me know if you're interested!

I'll probably update after every decent session. I play ~9k hands/week. That's what I played last month but I would like to go for more in September.

Today was decent and managed to put in 1.5k hands. Also, I got $50 bonus to clear from Full Tilt. It could have been more but I'll take this too for now. I'm probably manage to clear it in less than a week, yet I have until 23rd September before it expires. Should have made it like $300 in 3 weeks if they really wanted me to play more. fish love

I honestly consider it a cooler. Sure, I could have isolated pre, bla bla bla. On the turn I know he has a hand but the question is did he flop the straight? I decided to just call and reevaluate. And here is somewhere I had a bit of FPS. I had reason for doing it. A raise on the turn is rarely a bluff but I have the nuts and I wanted him to catch up. He still has some money behind so I give him the option to bluff into me even on the river. I thought villain might have a 9 and caught trips on the river and he will bet it if he has it. If he had pure air he is not going to call a value bet so only strong and air is going to bet into me, thus I get more value.

I used to watch The Good Life with my parents in 1975 when I was 9! Really funny. Reminds me of me and mrsjb.

I only play 2-tables because I use a laptop. Maybe I could 4-table because HEM stats have autoresize. I used PT3 for a while and I just couldn't see anything with 4 tiled tables. I prefer playing in the evenings when there are a lot of players online on Full Tilt. That's the time when you see players going broke with TPGK on a dry board.

Hmmm... I actually haven't been online on Skype for some time. I just sign in, see who's there and then sign out :f_biggrin:. I'll try to be more active there too....

I didn't even notice I won it until after a few quickfolds. My stack was too big and I opened hand history. Turns out I hit runner runner. About the check: I wanted to give him the chance to bluff into me and maybe commit himself with draws and worse hands.

Easy raise IP preflop. I hit set on a somewhat drawy board. Standard cbet. I get called. That 6 is not a blank. Yes, I might get called by worse if I bet again but I did not want to set myself up for a turn c/r by a worse hand. So, although surprised by SBs check (only a drawing hand makes sense and any chance he has of winning the pot is aggression counting on his equity against my range) I check behind, like I said. River completes a backdoor flush and some more straights. SB checks again. Now I put him on some 9, maybe some scared 2 pair, TT, JJ. So I bet hoping he would call with all those holdings and maybe that Q made top pair for him. Surprise, surprise! C/r on the river. He would 99% bet out on the river any hand that beats me as he doesn't have any clue if I'm going to bet the river as I seemed to give up on the turn. I decide to make a call, also considering the odds I had. Now that I look at it, if he had played AA the standard way, he would have been stacked on the flop.

Nice and steady AI EV going up even if I'm way above that in reality so I'm not worried about running extra-hot! ♦
