Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Known players:
[tg]SB (Hero)$30.23:///////;BB$11.97:///////;MP2$25.00:///////;MP3$38.73:///////;CO$27.41:///////;BU$7.70:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8:s, 9:c.
4 folds, Hero raises to $1.00, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2) 5:d, A:s, 4:s (2 players)
Hero bets $1.23, BB calls $1.23.

Turn: ($4.46) 2:s (2 players)
Hero bets $3.00, BB calls $3.00.

River: ($10.46) 3:c (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $6.74(All-In), Hero calls $6.74.

Final Pot: $23.94.

River sucks balls, villain 67/20/3bet 22%/AF 1.7/FvsTCbet: 75%

Thought process => with such a high 3bet%, he most likely doesn't have an ace, double barreling since his fold vs turn Cbets is high ... river sucks balls big time, I should either shove myself or check-fold right?

Check-calling a shove is the dumbest move, but did not think the river play through in the heat of the battle :f_mad:

Right. :)

don´t like barreling turn
He would not fold there Ax, he can easily have higher flushdraw or flush and you´re drawing dead and generlaly I think you don´t have enough fold equity or overall equity to continue your hand
I think c/f river is fine, he is not folding there any hand for split if you shove and he can easily have there better hand than yours
