Today I played just 150+ hands, won 50$ and now I have time to write this post :f_biggrin:

I see here some menthal problems.

I really hope that you wrote this only because English is not your native language :f_biggrin:

U played 9h to get green nr s, i dont think its good idea to play for that. U need to play for beating other ppl, but not for short term winnings.

Is there any other way of making numbers in PokerTracker go green? Other than beating other people, I mean? :f_eek:

150+ hands up and ended session? I think its better to continue if u win. Why cut winnings ?

I have been working in a Casino for 10 years and I also do know my numbers because I have been working with statistics and data analysis. Therefore I do know a thing or two about lucky streaks, up- and down- swings. There is a multitude of factors which are invisible to even most trained eye and I am only a beginner with less than 70 000 hands in my bag. So I am judging from my numbers :f_cool: And my judgement goes something like this:

In these 150+ hands I flopped 2 quads and 4 trips, all of which payed off beautifully. I won with last trips only because the villain could not believe that I have anorther set :f_biggrin: he actually asked in chat: "AGAIN!?" just before pushing AI with pocket 99 :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:There was not much possibility that it would get much better than that, so after my graph started to slowly go down and when I had lost about 30% of my maximum winnings, I decided to quit.

In my book it is called good bankroll management - cutting losses, not cutting winnings. :f_cool:

I remember when i first started playing poker, i was def. big fish (i think 40/3 style:D), and i played exacly like this - no wonder that i had really good days, but dont know why i lost everytime my br at the end, i belived that i play really good - i had 500$ days - i must be proffesional, dont know why i lose some day 1k - now i know, i didnt have any knowledge about variance (like you dont have now).

variance dont have memory, and if you stop playing only because you start loseing, you will be loser sooner or later, b/c if you have hot run, you make LOT of money (all we do, even fishes), BUT its not profit, we make profit when we have avarage/bad run, then we must make fewer mistakes than our opponents when they have avarage/bad run - here we make real profit IMO.

Dont know where you get your status, i think you have lose a lot of money to get it.

Hey my friend; sorry to hear you are having a tough time.

About the 78o hand. Don't. It's pure frustration that makes you play such a hand oop.

When you are up against someone who is 3 betting you in position a lot (10%+), I would make the following adjustments:

-Don't open so wide. The less you open, the less he can 3b you profitably.
-Don't 4b this guy if you are not going to be willing to call off his 5b shoves. As soon as he realises you are capable of 4b folding, he's just going to exploit you all the more.
-Don't 4b KQo if you know he 5b shoves often, because you are never (ever) going to be comfortable calling off the shove with that hand. (you are so far behind any reasonable 5b shove range).
-If you don't have the patience to wait for good hands or if he is just making it impossible for you to play your normal game, just move to another table. It's not so much that you should run from players who make your life difficult, it's more that you need to recognise when they are making you do things which you can say (objectively) are -EV.

I still don't understand what exactly is so wrong about wanting to finish your session while still up? :f_confused: I think if I finish every day in green it will be very difficult to lose in a long run :f_biggrin:

What status? Gold? Well, I will have to dissapoint you - I have not lost any money so far. Must be variance, then :f_biggrin:

Just to prove kevvu is a great coach a graph from me first time playing NL50 SH rush with him watching my every move and laughing his ass off . Im a FL player so he said my bet-sizing was funny and fishy and when i made what i though was a sexy shove with nuts on river he said it seems a bit unbalanced :f_biggrin:

Good times :f_cool:

Villain 17/15/5.7 wts 31 3b from BB 15% out of 45 hands (so the prf call should be fine?)/// overall hands 750. F cb 3b pot 83% T cb 67% (i think he will barrel a lot of turns cause of it, but we are deep, so maybe he is scared). I think there are pros and cons of betting on the turn. I think both are correct?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($115)
BB ($355)
UTG ($104)
CO ($123)
Hero ($253)

Dealt to Hero Q♠ J♦

fold, fold, Hero raises to $3, fold, BB raises to $9.50, Hero calls $6.50

FLOP ($19.50) 3♠ 8♣ J♣

BB bets $11, Hero calls $11

TURN ($41.50) 3♠ 8♣ J♣ 5♦

BB checks, Hero bets $28, BB calls $28

RIVER ($97.50) 3♠ 8♣ J♣ 5♦ 5♥

BB checks, Hero checks

My assumption: he cant handread cause he plays nitty style ->scared of marginal decisions
When u think he will barrel a lot (FDs, TPs+,str8draws, OCs) then his range is weak full of air (or polaryzde when he ch/r smtime) then I dont see a point in betting, u should IMO chbeh and give him a rope to hang himself
I only see a point in betting if he is not 2ndbarreling his midpairs and he is going into cdown mode agaisnt ur floats so then bet it out to represent some floats

Maybe if the board wasnt so wet then i would agree, hand played perfectly, theres hardly any of his value range that calls a river bet and when you do bet you could get shoved on which wouldnt be nice..... Maybe you could bet something like $25.55 aand see if he just says fuck it and call with 99 or something

but he will barrel every draw when he doublebarrrels a lot (maybe he wont barrel 79o)so there is no hand that we n eeed to protect against , even if he has some equity than it is superlow and as I said, if he is capable of ch/r this w monsters then we are screwed. so this is prob. WA/WB situation when we are mostly WA if not always and we wont get any value (cause there is not much we can get value from expect those mid-pair hands if he isnt barreling w em) so we want him to put in some extra mooney by ch-ing behindand calling him down

Agree.
If we bet turn and he raise - we must fold and often we fold better hand - dont like - cost 28$, dont see showdown

If we bet and he call and he bet river, again i dont like it - it cost us 28$ if we fold - we dont see showdown, it cost us 28$ + his bet and we see showdown with expencive price and not sure about our hand strenght

If we bet and he fold - dont like it, we didnt get max value of pocet 99 - cost 0$, risk 28$, dont see showdown

If we check behind and he check river, we have alw best hand and we can bet, he call us down here much lighter than turn, so we get more value.

If we check behind and he bet river(lets say 28$), we call, we win lot of times here, we get extra value of hands what def fold turn if we bet there (AIR), we lose to hands what call anyway our turn bet, but we dont lose so much. So more value, less losses.

Okey but, i think we need to think a bit deeper. We cant call all rivers and we can bluff some rivers and so on... ;)
