Thank you. I have just downloaded the free trial of PT3 and now I'm trying to figure it out.
I guess I will play STTs for start. I will be at the 1$ 6max turbo STT. Each BI should be 2% of my current BR, that's my BRM.

Any help/advice is welcomed!

I had a session of 6max turbo STT on PartyPoker and all can I say is that I won't play that ever again. That section is full of gamblers who have no idea about position play or at least outs!
I mean, the 1$ STT on PartyPoker is padded with donkey gamblers, and yeah, their rake for 80c is 20c while on FT 20c is rake for 1$. To be honest, I regret that I hadn't made a deposit anywhere else.
After 8 1$ STT and one 3$ (i thought gambling would be less addictive to people at that stake) I have only won 2 second places. It's like playing poker blindfolded, no matter what cards you have, just shove it, the board will help the morons anyway.

Yesterday I kinda went berserk over the players from low stakes at PartyPoker, tilt had me covered really good that I went to PLO and played 25NL, I didn't even cared about the money, at some point I opened a 2c/4c NLHE table and started shoving (probably I should have kept this for myself ).

A bit later I opened a 6$ 6max turbo STT (for real, their rake is HUGE) and started playing. I have to say, at that limit the game is more organised, no shoves preflop, no pushes on the river when pot was like 0.5 of one's stack. A decent game, even though it jumped waaay over my BRM but who cares? I mean, at $1 and $3 I can't play my game, people are playing haoticly, the always push with AQ on a KTx flop and in general on any flops

I have to say that I am grateful to the tilt that pushed me to this limit, because I discovered how profitable it can be to play with civilized people, not with monkeys.

Obviously I cannot return to the $1 and $3 STTs so I will continue playing the $6.

PS: How can I replay an entire STT with PT3? I would like to observe my run as a piece, not to start opening each hand.

This is one of the biggest mistakes that microstakes players make. Jumping to a limit that is NOT within your BR is suicide. The players are better, so its much more demanding to win. Yes, at $1 people make ridiculous plays and sometimes get lucky, but guess what. Poker players make money mainly thanks to other players mistakes. If everyone was playing perfect poker, it would not be profitable. You might be losing now, but thats just variance. Remember this: decision correct, result irelevant. At the end of the year, you'll have the money, not the monkeys.;)
Proper BRM is really important and yours BRM is everything but proper. Just follow it and soon you'll have a proper BR for $6.

I know that in this point I gave up my BRM, but at $1 they play really awkward, plus that, now I play on PartyPoker, where $6 6max turbo STT feels like $1.2 6max STT turbo from FullTilt.

I honestly cannot read anybody at $1 on PP. They push on flop with TPTK, raise preflop 20BB plus, probably the most simply rule I have forgotten until now, you can't bluff a fish. My cbets are getting called even thou I made a tripe barrel and the villan had just a small pair. How sick is that?

I played some $6 and then a $3 to see the difference. You won't see any player on microstakes on PP that tries to make a value bet on river, hell no! Just push push push. Playing 1 and 3$ feels more like gambling than playing poker. On this platform people come from the PartyCasino and starts to gamble at PartyPoker, that's how it is with low stakes.

I know that what I am doing now is wrong but I can't see my way out without acting like this. As you can see in the chart, the micro STTs have been killing me, which I cannot say about the $6 one.
Anyways, I regred having a deposit on PartyPoker. Rake is huge, low limit is hyper-fishy (and not in the good way), and lots of software issues.

For some reason, my PT3 got some database issues and apparently I have lost all data.
Lately I have played 8 $6 6max turbo STTs in which I got 1 first place, 4 second places. It has been a good run and I'm gonna call it a day.

$15 profit for this session

PS: Profit should have been 18 but i joined a $3 6max turbo STT. They are hot pockets with ADD, throwing chips to the left and right.

Rake is sick at PP¬¬¬
BI = $5+1
1st place = 3.6 BI
2nd place = 2.4 BI

Still, in my opinion FT's paying structure for this kind of STTs is waaaay better: 3.9BI and 2.1BI and the rake is not so FUCKIN' HUGE!

From what I can see, you are just blaming your lack of patience and lack of understanding for what makes a poker player profitable on the people who can't play.

Everytime I see someone making an idiotic move I just smile at it, because I'm glad to see there are still players that make moves I would've thought nobody would ever try.

If you don't get crushed at 6$, you will probably jump up to the next level too early and get crushed there.

Move down and start over is my advice. Good luck in the future, you'll need a bunch of it

I simply cannot make any move on 1 and 3$. I can't play at all because either everybody checks the hand through the river or everybody is all-in on the flop. I don't want to gamble and so as my stats has showed I couldn't make any profit there.
On the other hand, I'm doing well at $6 and I will stay here a lot, because from this level the game changed from $3 "Oh what the hell, I'm all-in" to players that are respecting some plays and they don't shove as they may.
I didn't moved up for the money, I moved up because 1 and 3$ is gambler's paradise. I will remain at $6 and apply the BR = 50BI

Yeah, Party Poker micro sng's are hell. And they are all turbos, no regular 1$ sngs. Crap.

I dont think its complete suicide to move up as long as you can afford to replenish your bankroll from an outside source if variance hits... and to be honest on PP I think you should try to reach the $11 ($10+1) games as fast as possible, this is the lvl where rake is reasonable.

I have been observing a few tables of $11 and the game gets better and better but I still cannot jump to that level. To be honest, if I lose this BR can't say that I would be mad angry because I intend to move back to FT. This platform is kinda bad. But if I reach $11 STTs I think I will stay, who knows

why don't you try to play cash games for a change? i had the same problems with 1$ sng that they are not easily playable and very frustrating because of the fish. now i'm profitable at playing cash games and gonna build the bankroll needed to play in 6$ sng.

this way you run the risk of being broke. if you build a bankroll first, that's likely not gonna happen

For some reason I have lost my confidence in my cash game play. I played a few hands here and 5NL from FT feels like 25NL here. Here are too many aggro gamblers. Today I won't be playing, prolly 4 SNGs tonight. After Wednesday I will gave more time for myself and I will dedicate it to poker.

absolutly correct......when i play well and keep my head...playing within BR management i crush up to NL100...and then i lose the plot play too high and tilt and it all goes and i have to start from scratch!adhere to br management and dont tilt and ul be fine!

I dare you deposit $50 on PartyPoker and play the $1 6max turbo STT and actually have profit and not get eaten by huge rake and then you can tell me to stick to BRM and play that gambler's heaven.

I'm sorry to say it, but if anyone else will come and say to stick to BRM please don't. I'm looking forward to get the bonus and leave this platform, microlimits are like freerolls(and here i'm talkins strictly about SNGs).

If you're playing STTs get HEM not PT3. I wish someone had told me this when I started.. would have saved me $90.

Also, I went from $50 in march this year to $1200 now. It's very possible, you just have to study LOTS of poker and don't tilt off your BR. If you need to play while tilting, just put $1 on an MTT and go crazy just NEVER tilt in your regular games.

EDIT: Oh lol, not only what I said about going from $50 to $1200 in a year is relevant, but if you read my blog (lol shameless spruik) I actually was doing the same shit you're doing now when I started.. trying to play $6s on PartyPoker with $50 bankroll... it's suicide man, seriously. Move your money to Full Tilt, make sure you get rakeback, and grind from the $1.20s up. The $1.20s on FTP aren't quite as ridiculous as the $1s on partypoker.

Huge rake, no rakeback, shittty microlimits. I regret having a deposit here. Right now i have 46 points(i guess it's like about 20 STTs that I'm playing) to get from PartyPoker and I will move back to FT. And if I don't make it here until I reach 100 points that's a bummer but I will leave this platform for sure.
