Hey Guys,

My name is Philipp Trenker, im 20 years old and I’m studying law in Graz/Austria, at the moment. I started playing Poker at the end of 2008 when rulaZ came up with the idea of making some money by stacking some fish. We instantly joined pokerstrategy.com and started to play SSS at Pokerstars. Soon I got bored and tried some fr and ended up playing shorthanded. Due to some motivation problems I decided to quit poker in January 2010. I was playing NL25 sh at this time. A few months later rulaZ, who was still playing, convinced me of starting again. I took 200€ and restarted at NL10 sh. This is now 3 ½ months ago and at the moment im playing NL 50/100 with a 50stacks BRM.

primary goals:
- playing NL 200/400 at casino like a maniac and stack everyone
- make enough money with poker so that there is no need to do another job
- make my diploma at university

secondary goals:
- establish some connections and maybe drive around a little bit to grind with other members
- go to Vegas in some years and crush the small stakes with rulaZ
- generally do less –ev moves in my life

I know that’s quite much but I’m convinced I can accomplish that by much discipline and hopefully the help of you!!

So for me this blog is not just something to impress other by nice graphs (hopefully) or misplayed hands, but furthermore I see it as a chance to get in contact with other people, to improve my game and also maintain my motivation to spend as many time for playing poker as possible.

im not sure what to do on every street. what do you think about 3bet/fold on the flop? when i played this hand i thought about it but didnt really want to fold my hand on the flop. on the turn its an easy call i think and on the river i think its also a valuebet but im not sure how much...any ace should call this size and i still can b/f. do i lose value from worse aces?

raise size on the turn? i dont bet the river coz any fh beats me now and i dont think hes calling 2pair/overpair

hand 1: Any stats? Vs a fish i would check behind river, cause they like to raise two pair on flop and get weaker on later streets.. vs a reg I think it's well played!

hand 2: Big blind can easily call with a flushdraw on turn, so you don't get any value on river, therefor check behind is fine.. i don't think you lose a lot of value from worse hands in this spot, nh.

I ran pretty bad yesterday.. 2 stacks down nl50.. now I really tempt to play NL20 again, but I know that it was not my fault, like losing A2 on 345 board vs 45 and KK vs A9 on 899 board 3bet pot. I also dont understand why fish always have to make fullhouse vs my nutflush as soon as the board pairs

well I think I will take a last shot and if I lose again I will go back to 20 again.

Also grinded a bit NL5 fr with my girlfriend, and yes, she really got talent and moved up 2 stacks @ rushpoker. Maybe I should take more private coachings

hey guys,

had some sessions going on today and yesterday, and I just run bad over and over again.. buttom pairs make trips, 5high backdoor flush draws call three barrels vs my straight and hit flush on river to stack me off.. gosh.. I really don't know what to do atm

today maphacks observed my game and also just could say that it was only bad luck and doesn't depend on my game.. Such words hurt even more than if I knew I made mistakes, because it won't stop since months on NL50...

well, like after every session I think I again have to say "lets hope for more luck for the next sessions"

just finished my first winning session since a week (whoohooo)

4 stacks up NL20, so bankroll is now at 2085€... so I still have to recover a bit but I'm confident. I watched TwiceTs move it move it vid yesterday and played a very loose session today (34/30) with a lot of thinking about ranges

here a very tough hand, ye, I gave him KT, but not sure if I lose value on river if i just call, my plan was raise/fold, although his stacksize sucked a lot. My turn bet was too small, I put him on Qx, Jx, and QJ, mb T9 until river, where he strongly represented KT after reraising me, can't fold obv.. I'm excited of your suggestions..
