You're pretty much just check/shoving to chop the pot against another Ax, or value-towning yourself against Qx.
I think he has Qx often enough here to make just check/folding to his PSB OK actually.

Preflop is good, flop is good, but I think I would have made another bet on the turn and fold to a raise from his side. As you played it, I would also fold to his bet after your check. In my opinion it is better to play tighter in the beginning of the sng.

Any comments on my move are appreciated, I'm also not really sure about this one and I'm also still learning ^^.

Fold preflop? Don't see any point in fighting to death because of your 10 chips.
Too early to start stealing, in other words there is nothing to steal and A9s is not that good for an open raise.

This is just silly. It's bvb and it's a VALUE raise not a steal! I would raise this from seat before the hijack never mind bvb.

Make it 60 tho there's no need to 4x from LP or the blinds. Then with a pot of 120 I cbet 80. Then with the turn pot at 280 presuming he calls I bet-fold to any raise around the 120 mark cos of the scary Q. On a blank turn I would barrel a higher amount. Bet-folding is a much better option than check-call/folding in a lot of situs and this is one of them cos we can get value from a weaker Ace by doing so. As played easy fold turn.

Hello,

Thanks for the comments!

@Steelbrewer: It's not a steal, rather than a value raise. As you correctly pointed out, it's totally pointless to steal 30 chips :)

As played I will explain my line in this hand and I will appreciate if you tell me what you think.

Some intital information. The guy in the BB is very week LAG, i know him from previous tourney. So my line in this hand was to take his chips before the other players do.

1. Pre-flop; the 4XBB rase is kind of standard early game
2. Flop: Cbeting to both for value and to get idea where I am in the hand

3. Turn play. I know it looks very weird that I check push when the second Q arrive.

But lets think for a second. What Q type hands he can have that will make sense for his passive play on the flop; AQ; KQ, I am sure he would definitely 3bet (flop). QT was the only possible Q hand I was putting him on, but I figure its way more likely for him to have either week Ax or K type hand (KT; KJ maybe).Flush draw was also a possibility. But to be honest I was giving him more creadit for Ax Kx than flush.

Therefore I decided to check turn to him to let him bluff. If he bluff and I 3bet push the turn, first of all it looks very strog if he has Ax he would have very hard time calling (so no chop). Kx tupe draws will feel obliged to call (pot odds) and he will be drawing pretty thin.

His bet is very big slightly over PS. I don't think that he would over bet AQ in KQ in that spot. So I told he is on KJ; KT or A rag and put the pressure back at him.

Let me know what you think. I know is kind of very aggressive line, I would definitely won't do it against a decent opponent, but in this case it seemed good idea.

Cheers!

My answer to your above post is he isn't betting that turn on a draw imo. He has a made hand here so he either has the JT straight already or QJ, QT is well within his range, calling with the straight draw OTF. Ok sometimes he has absolutely nothing or overbets whatever draw he's on but it's not often enough this is happening.

With your reads assuming you can indcue a bluff by checking it is fine.

again with your reads though he is never folding ANY ace.

Having 2 Q's up there makes it less likely for him to have one in this situation so the only reason
I check the turn at all is if it is a spewtard who can not help but bluff because he understands
that regs bet the flop and check when their bluff is floated so the spewtard throws his chips at
most checked turns.

I don't usually bother with this type of thought process at the lowest of BIs though, and I
just keep betting for value once I decided to raise it up BVB preflop. However as was posted
4x is a bit much for raising unbless again with reads that you are against a really bad player
who you are sure to get a pile of chips from.

***EDIT: Bet larger on the flop as well. You are creating a big pot because you have a good hand
and your reads are telling you you will get paid for it so you want to get the most out of it
especially after raising so much preflop.

firstly. please post all reads in your OP. no one will be able to give you an educated answer unless you provide us with all information. waiting for a few replies then going 'oh wait i had this read' is just wasting everyone's time.

this is the standard thought process for the hand.

dont over-think the hand, on micro-limits the best way to profit is play very standard and make it to push-fold with a nice stack, then you can gain so many chips without a SD. doing these kinds of plays is unnecessarily risky and not even good in the long run imo. you might get lucky and have a spew-tard show down with air, but more often than not you are completely over-thinking the spot and spewing your chips.

fwiw, cbetting less is fine for pot control, the board isnt that great for us.

I agree.

No point in low limits for complex plays.

FYI: If you are interested. He had KT, but long run I agree it's not good idea. :)
