MiniFTOPS Event #11

Stacks:
UTG (5,780)
UTG+1 (4,970)
MP1 (4,235)
MP2 (5,715)
MP3 (5,050)
Hero (CO) (4,650)
BTN (4,220)
SB (4,895)
BB (5,475)

Blinds: 15/30

Pre-Flop: (45, 9 players) Hero is CO Q♣ Q♥
3 folds, MP2 calls 30, 1 fold, Hero raises to 120, 2 folds, BB raises to 775, MP2 folds, Hero calls 655

Flop: 9♠ K♠ 3♣ (1,595, 2 players)
BB bets 1,290, Hero folds

1) start of the tournament, ~7th hand of tourney, no reads about this player.

2) after he made this huge 6bet, I assumed he has KK+ (maybe AK). Thats why I folded my QQ.

How about my play: 1) preflop??? 2) postflop???

Is it good option to shove preflop with QQ after so massive 6bet from unknown at the start of tournament?

this is not a 6bet, that's a 3bet : the blinds are the 1bet, your raise is the 2bet his reraise is a 3bet.

as played I'm pushing it because this was a massive mtt with a ton of satelites/fish I think the fishiest miniftops of the entire series. not sure about what to do vs unknown in another mtt though.

just to clarify: i think alejandrosh is saying to shove pre. i agree. we have a very strong hand and when villain makes it 6x as a 3bet he's really just saying "i have a medium strength hand but i'm going with it!"

+ 1 ship preflop

note: his 3 bet looks like 99-AA, AQ+,AJs+ so i'm ok to go broke prflop vs that range at the start of mtt with QQ

@tomlog we r talking about preflop here

imo as played on flop is fold to me
