PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is MP with 8, A
1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: (8 SB) 4, A, J (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls

Turn: (10.6 BB) 7 (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls

River: (13.6 BB) J (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, 2 folds

Total pot: $13.60 (13.6 BB) | Rake: $0.50

SB is solid winning reg with 26/21/3/39 at 5,4k hands
BB fish with 48/13/1,1/44 at 2.2k hands

i'd say SBs preflop calling-range would be something like this:

77-22,A8s-A2s,K9s-K6s,Q9s-Q6s,J7s+,T7s+,97s+,87s,76s,65s,54s,ATo-A7o,KJo-K9o,Q9o+,JTo

from that he would donk out any FD, Ax, Jx and 44 on the flop since its a 4-way pot, which would be

44,A9s-A2s,ATo-A7o,KJo,QJo,JTo,KdJd,QdJd,KdTd,QdTd,JdTd,Kd9d,Qd9d,Jd9d,Td9d,Kd8d,Qd8d,Jd8d,Td8d,9d8d,Kd7d,Qd7d,Jd7d,Td7d,9d7d,8d7d,Kd6d,Qd6d,7d6d,6d5d,5d4d

ive got roughly 59% equity against his donking-range. with his 3bet all the non-fd Js have to be discarded from his range, which leaves me at 52% Equity. i still think that i have the fish beat and ive got more than half of the equity so it should be fine for me to cap since his range contains mostly FDs. since both checked i just continue betting the turn. although the river is pretty ugly since both could easily have the J in their range i still decide to bet because i dont give the fish enough credit to c/r the J and still SBs range is mostly busted FDs at this point...

i think you played that hand pretty well. i don't think that SB is very often 3betting with A9 or a small suited ace. i'd rather put him on a big draw like a gutshot with flushdraw that he played for value. AT and better he would have 3bet preflop and i think A9 is the only plausible hand that has you beat. given that SB has just a pfr of 2 for example and you have to put AT AJ AQ in his range, you should just call down after the 3bet but against a tag it's well played!
