Full Tilt - 170/340 NL - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: 131,145.00
BB: 13,550.00
UTG: 120,228.00
MP: 15,032.00
Hero (CO): 112,104.00
BTN: 112,854.00

SB posts ante 125.00, BB posts ante 125.00, UTG posts ante 125.00, MP posts ante 125.00, Hero posts ante 125.00, BTN posts ante 125.00, SB posts SB 1170.00, BB posts BB 1340.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 1660.00) Hero has A♣ A♥

fold, fold, Hero raises to 1680.00, BTN raises to 112,829.00 and is all-in, fold, fold, Hero calls 111,399.00 and is all-in

Flop: (124818.00, 2 players) 9♦ 4♣ 5♥

Turn: (124818.00, 2 players) 2♦

River: (124818.00, 2 players) 3♠

Hero shows A♣ A♥ (Straight, Five High)
BTN shows 6♥ 6♣ (Straight, Six High)
BTN wins 124,818.00

The question is not what to do in my spot but what to do in my opponents. At first I was a little angey (b/c of the results) then i realized i would probally go broke in my opponents shoes as well.

My opponents options:
1. Fold: way too weak imo
2. Call: Ok but there are often overcards on the flop and it is very difficult on the flop
3. 3b/fold: Well ok but i really dont like turning this hand into a bluff b/c it doesnt have card removal.
4.3b/call: Well ok, u get good odds and have ok equity
5. shove: kinda turns your hand faceup as like a low p/p or a Ahigh which does not really want action. tbh I am calling his shove with 88+, AJs+, AQo+.

I ran the numbers.
Lets say i ship over his 3b with 55+, KJs+, KQo+. AJo+, 40% equity
Let say I ship over him with 88+, AQ+ he has 32% equity
He need ~42% equity (based on pot odds if he 3b to 1500) so if he thinks I am shoving tight he cant call.
If I am shoving 33+, AJs+, AQo+ he can call though

Seems really standard on his side, he can even shove a bit lighter than this. But yes, it does turn his hand face-up. I think I still prefer taking his line (especially so if he has something like 22-33) as it folds out some of your higher pocketpairs too.

guess you can do a reshove there.
I guess its the best option villain has there.
Of course his hand is faceup, but you need a strong hand like 99+ A/js+ to call it. And if hes doing it with smaller pps too, the spot is really good like chenny8888 said. Because you would def. fold 22-77 even maybe 88

wtf with HH?
and whats with all your comments that shoving all in preflop with 66 is good play in that spot?
if i get all post from OOP ok then HH is something like this

Full Tilt - 170/340 NL - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: 31,145.00
BB: 13,550.00
UTG: 20,228.00
MP: 15,032.00
Hero (CO): 12,104.00
BTN: 12,854.00

SB posts ante 12.00, BB posts ante 12.00, UTG posts ante 12.00, MP posts ante 12.00, Hero posts ante 12.00, BTN posts ante 12.00, SB posts SB 170.00, BB posts BB 340.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 582.00) Hero has A♣ A♥

fold, fold, Hero raises to 680.00, BTN raises to 12,829.00 and is all-in, fold, fold, Hero calls 11,399.00 and is all-in

so u all think that shoving ~17x open raise with 66 is standard (good play) here?? seriously?

P.S. OOP PLEASE POST RIGHT HH

i was just thinking it was 20 or so bb. what's the actual stacksize?

you can also make profitable reshoves with more than 25bb.
