I think if u call the flop raise. U need to atleast call turn aswel since I think villain is expecting u to c/c flop and c/f turn a decent amount of time so he's going to continue a fair amount w bluff on turn.

That being said it's very hard sitution not too loose alot of money if u want to continue so best option is folding flop imo. Unless u are willing to c/c all streets because u know villain is agressive/u have notes/etc..

preflop: Make it bigger as you are offering too good odds esp. that deep.
flop: I'd either b/f which sucks. BUT he raises you although 2 other players could have 8x quite easily. Or I call him down if board doesn't get too ugly.

We have to think what our opponents range looks like. He has some 8x hands in his range: A8s (maybe A8o and K8s sometimes), 89s, 78s, T8s, 68s, he might have even weaker suited 8x hands because he is deep against you and BB. He has 44, 88 and some overpairs also (99 - JJ). He might raise this flop with a draw (FD , FD + GS), and pure bluffs.
I think he mostly calls 99 - JJ here (to keep weaker hands in the pot) and isnt so eager to raise draws also (paired board). Which leaves us with strong made hands only. Considering this and that we have really hard time calling another bet (2 bets) without improving, I think folding on flop is the best choice here.

Hm, I thought about this, but imo 4.7BB is quite big already. You could argue for making it bigger, but at some point we'll have to reduce the number of hands we openraise since we can't open a big pot with very weak hands (well, in fact we can, but it's hard to play postflop).

Once we bet the flop and get raised I agree with kosmonaut - we have to fold.
But I'd think about checking the hand in the first place. Since we're 4way on the flop it's somewhat likely someone has an 8 (as kosmonaut mentioned the 8 fits perfectly in BTNs callingrange preflop and SB as well as BB have wide ranges, especially BB, so there are quite some 8x in there as well).
Additionally if somebody has a FD it's a good board to c/r it because he can get us to fold an overpair at some point.
So vs passive opponents I might still bet to get value vs FDs and lower pairs, but vs an aggressive opponent checking back is better imo.

As played without special reads there's not much we can do but check-folding the turn imo. Expecting he's about to start a crazy 200BB-bluff in a 4way pot is probably gonna be costly (since it means calling turn+river).

There was a lot of rl-stuff going on with family and friends (and no, I didn't just grind all the time,
in fact I played a total of 102 hands over the last 14 days ♦).
