[Closed] nl400- 2 hands vs reg

Hi,

unfortunately you provide very litte information such as 3-bet value.
Hand 1:
5-handed is 4-bet/call standard on NL400 on PP.
As played: Either bet/fold turn for free showdown or fold river imo. You only have a bluff catcher and as you said you have quasi no info/reads about
villain.

Hand 2: Preflop and flop are fine.
Personally I'd ch/shove turn versus aggro villains to balance your checks.
Problem with betting as you saw yourself: river play?
Therefore I'd suggest to think this through before you bet turn!
As played: I'd ch/c versus aggro villains quite often up to 2/3pot. But now I see that you both are a bit deep. Hmm not sure.
All options suck obv because of your turn bet.
I think you could argue for all 3 options:
- shove yourself
- c/f
- c/c
shove > c/c > c/f

What did you do and what did he have, if seen?

hand 1: with no history prolly fold on R - u ve no idea abt his frequencies and ur hand looks like with a sd value coz of T, so his valuebetting is rly easy there; get it in PF ofc standard.

hand 2: this depends mostly on the outcome of hand 1 or other dynamic and in specific what do u think he does w a hand like 89 here on R when u c to him. Many ppl, esp higher will close to alw be merging their ranges here and shove very often when u c to them on this R. Vs those its rly good to c/c, since there is an incredible amount of hands which stand a 2barell (99-JJ, 89, 76, 9T, TJ, many Ax, Kx of diamonds etc.

The situation is the closest when u play vs a bit too str8 forward plr who is getting to sd too often. I dont think he rly is truning hands to bluffs here at all, and alw cbeh even sth like 56 which esentially doesnt beat much at all, at the same time he is not going to vbet worse than yours if u c to him, but he can call with some worse. Vs those ppl u should have some special thin betsizings, also for bluffs, so that u can do sth like b 1/4-1/3 here and fold to a shove.

Abt the shove: u just need to make sure u re bluffing here often so that ppl call u down like always with QJ, QK or sometimes w worse, since if u re just a standard tag, u re still quite deep on R and not many worse can rly call u down since the most obvious draws completed. Just dont make this standard thought process: "ok, fml, i dont know what to do, i dont want to c/c, so i shove" Since of improved implieds many suited hands, will be playing exactly this way, as well as few straithgts or 2 pair given awkward STP ratio on the T, so u ll be valuebetting urself a lot here in general.

I ve did few EV calcs on my own, considered many things esp abt F&T play, long story short: i got ~ -4% EV of the pot @ sd, but obviously this is going to be so much dependant on ur perceved image and who u re playing against so u should do it abs on ur own with the ranges u put him on. Just make sure u get anything close to the 28.4% that u need to win @ sd when called.

I ve edited too many times, just want to finish it off: firstly i thought the shove is just rly bad given the depth, now i just think its "bad". I d say u have to have a pretty active 3betting and 3barell image in 3bet pots to make this +EV, which is oop generally very tough even if u re lag coz u re repping the hands he is supposed to have more often, so its abt levelling a lot, but he has the position=big adv esp in this spot in particular
