Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
Hero ($57.75)
BB ($50)
UTG ($73.40)
UTG+1 ($109)
UTG+2 ($33.85)
MP1 ($72.30)
MP2 ($43.85)
CO ($18.50)
BTN ($21)

Dealt to Hero Q♥ Q♣

fold, fold, fold, MP1 raises to $1.50, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $5, fold, MP1 calls $3.50

FLOP ($10.50) T♠ 2♣ J♥

Hero bets $7.50, MP1 raises to $17.50, Hero raises to $52.75 (AI), MP1 calls $35.25

Villain is unknown.

Is it standard to go broke against an unknown in this spot? Can't really see him raising worse hands (maybe KQs or 98s, but not too likely considering preflop action).

Preflop: what are his stats. I generally dont 3b QQ in these positions
Postflop: Again super stats dependant but I think his line looks sooo super strong that u can find a b/f

He is totally unknown, no hands on him.
I usually flat QQ against UTG raises, but 3betting against MP raises. Ofc, as u say, it is stats dependent.

any reasonable player would flat that post with JJ/TT to let you barrel again on the turn, so I think you sometimes see there bluff or AJ that decides to go with his hand. Sometimes you also run into KK/AA but generally I would just go with my hand, since pot is big, you have overpair and can´t really b/f every time if face aggression
