By maniac do you mean also that you have seen him making such shoves? I'd rather consider him making bluff-raises smaller, like $2-3 and what would be likely my Call if he had such amount of money, but when he shoves into us that much, it's kinda hard without good reads. We need to have like 40% equity there to make a profitable Call.

For example:
Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 53,425% 53,425% 0,000% 46,575% 99, 77, 22, A8s-A7s, A2s, KQs, JTs, 65s, A8o-A7o, A2o, KQo, JTo, 65o
Player 2: 46,575% 46,575% 0,000% 53,425% A9s, A9o

If we put him on such a range, we might even find a profitable Call. Of course we have seen him doing such moves as you described like making bad Calls and etc but can you also include that he is capable of shoving that hard into us? Sometimes I'd rather even say that folding is a lot safer in this situation since I hardly see them shoving in such situations with a lot worse. Likely with made hand.

Conclusion, if you have seen him overshoving like that earlier, then you could consider Calling, but if not then I'd rather skip this time and wait for a better spot.

Yep, very likely, they often tend to make such moves with PURE nuts. I see them doing normal bluffs like raise to $2-3 as I mentioned.
