Should I bet/fold on the flop?

I think pushing pre can be a good option....it will be hard to play AK postflop when u miss...

postflop is fine....Cbet is to expensive and commits you

pushing preflop is good with all of your raising range here...
I think there are some arguments to push 99+ AQ+ here and making ~340 raise with QQ+ here.. I would maybe do it on the $12's but any higher than that and it starts to make you a bit exploitable in similar situations..

as played I think I might check/shove for value... if he checks I make a delayed cbet on any turn card...

i think its fine to shove AJ-AK 99-TT type hands and raise small with JJ+ on any limit against unknowns. they are exploitable and this will get you max value.

another option is to isolate bigger and shove any flop. here with only 1k behind i would just bet/call flop. we basically committed ourselves pre
