I went to bed, thinking about the situation & about how this guy can call 3 times with crap hand and get two sixes on the board.

My mind couldn't come to anything acceptable so I decided to write that post.

..cause the only thing I am ready to accept is that the guy had know what board will come. And shove his stack preflop after 3 guys raised before him...

..then,, thinking that he knows the cards that will come I started to consider the whole "online poker" conception a big bluff for us, that put our money in and wait patiently for the big win. ... if some guy can know the cards, it may only mean that he is from FullTilt personnel and his job is to collect our buy-ins with "missclicking" 3 times preflop with crappy hand.

What do you think about this experience and my thoughts.. I'd like to hear as much opinions as possible.

It's not all luck, and online poker (at least the major rooms) is not rigged.

Poker is a combination of luck and skill, however I can see you are a tournament player and so this is harder to see with the amount of coin flip all ins.

Say you have a certain hand preflop, you could have up to an ~85% chance to win (vs 1 super loose fish with AA) - now by minimising the bad hands you play, making the correct plays with the good hands, and such, you maximise your expected value - this means you play hands where you are given the correct odds, and not others.

The problem that confuses most people is that in the short term, poker is a game of luck. It is in the long run when it becomes a game of skill.

For example, you have AA preflop, you raise, you get re-raised by a large amount, so you shove all in and get called. Villain turns over 27o, you laugh, flop comes A25, turn comes 2, river comes 2, you scream at your monitor in frustration and curse the poker gods. The fact is, in poker this hand can happen.

However, if you play this same hand vs this same opponent say 100 times, chances are they'll win 5-20x and you'll win 80-95x - this is why skill is king in the long run

To put that into more visible figures, if you're playing 2NL, and each time you go all in for $2, this is what'll happen:

Short term (3x the hand):
You could be anywhere from down $6 to up $6, see how it is mostly luck?

Long term (1000x the hand):
First you lose $2000 from going all in 1000x, now you win 80-90% of the time, so that's ~850x$4, which gives you an expected result of $3400, $1400 profit.

sincerrly...i think that you are at the begginng with poker..AK is NOT the best hand ..is just a good hand but not the best...you should know when after raise comes a re-raised and then a re-re - raised you should fold...you dont should ...maybe in your case it was better to push preflop becouse anyway with your mentality you were in case to loose your money with AK ...so if you pushed all in i dont think that j6 was enter in the game...now depend about your position his position if was in bb it was possible to pay the re raised...you should learn better playing freerolls and then play on your money...

your right...in the short term poker is luck.........in the long run luck doesnt play a part......if u get ur money in as a 60% favourite over a large sample of hands you will be a winner....its a mathematical fact. did u just ecpect to sit down and win every hand u played?that isnt how poker works. i used to be like you...expecting to win everything but you soon realise that that doesnt happen..........and when you do realise this and realise you are playing a long run game in which its just about trying to make the correct decisions as much as possible, your winrate and overall play will significantly improve and ul enjoy the game so much more. if u focus on an individual session or individual hand ul go crazy.....im playing mtt's atr the moment and ive run deep 5 times in my last 8 or 9....my best being a 5th place finish for $900....i had an 11th and a 20th in there aswell from fields of over 2000. now while i narrowly missed out opn big money on these occasaions and being so close i realise i played well and made good decisions and it just wasnt my day. this is all you can do and eventually luck will run with u and ul cash big. just keep the faith and work on your play because if u put the effort in you will definately get somewhere. you complain about taking a bad beat but you played badly. AK is no good in a 5 or 6 way all in preflop you should be folding. or getting your chips in first to get rid of the fish with j6.

yes, 31,5% to be more exact (however it depends on card suits). And just for curiosity, J6 has 6-8% probability to win (depends on card suits too)
