99 is to weak in this spot

do you get it in here from the bb larseda?

if so how much do you hate making a very small 3bet and folding to a cold4bet while calling a shove from UTG? i think with 99 we're still ahead of his range.

what is he just calls 3bet preflop? if he is smart he should just call with all his 4betting shoving range (with ~pot sized bet left behind) and try to stack us after flop.... in his spot i'll cold call 3bet with KK, AA maybe even QQ and shove 88-JJ, AK/AQs depending on opponent, obv. folding weaker holdings vs tighter players

- if he is folding TT and maybe JJ some times and never shoving with AQ/88 here i think that 3bet play is perfect but if we dont know that is very tricky

- larseda as usual take the most conservative/tight line here

it really depends of how good this guy plays post flop, and how tight he really is preflop, does he Cbet a lot, giving up if he missed on flop or turn, is he tight cos there is some really agro player on your table who is bulling all of u etc all this factors matters

from stats i can say that he open like 3-4 hands and take down blinds so nothing much of a read

in a vacuum i think larseda line is best (safe) route to go

personaly i go for 3bet 120k and fold to a 4 bet but i dont think that is best play cos good players will shove like 90%+ of their UTG opens
or just call and try to outplay him post flop (call most of the flops and evaluate turn, it cost same amount of chips as u 3 bet him but u can see 4 cards)

btw (if i was oop SB or BB) I'm more inclined to 3bet or fold then to call

against most player I also fold this in BB ... because most player raise 99+, Aq+ utg

EQ(push)= 0,58 * 94k + 0,42 * 0,48 * 800k = ...

we just have 6% more equity against this calling range -> it cant get +ev

so I think a push isnt possible, because he is to tight and deep

3bet/fold ... i dont like with 99, because u have no blocker
i whould 3bet/fold with hands like KQ, KJ, A6 but not with a PP
u get very good odds, if he pushs and u block no hands

I would check the UTG raising range. These days people open UTG with far more bluffs then other possitions. So if he opens a little bit looser UTG u can 3bet for value. UTG is the new BTN! ♠_biggrin:
If we are not going to stack with this hand, i would choose the safer play. Fold preflop cause 3bet/folding sucks with his 19BB and he can think u might make a play from late possition.

Depending on UTG raising range i would go with(if looser):
3bet/call >> push >> fold >> call >> 3bet/fold

no way, that would be a fundamentally huge mistake IMO. I'd make it 105k and call if UTG shoves, while folding if someone else on the table shoves.
