I have been thinking about taking a break from poker because Ive been running so bad since the new year.
My bankroll is suffering because of it.

Im playing 3 sites at the moment and its just not happening for me.
Yesterday i played 5 MTTs and exited early except for 1 when i finished 10th,first hand on final table go out with AKs V 77 which is not so bad as i was behind and low stacked,
but my problem is i am getting my chips in good and loosing to under pairs regularly and to dominated hands regularly.

Its breaking my balls and I am starting to play bad now as a consiquence.

So, should I take a break from it or what should I do ?(

Any advice would me appreciated,
Thanks in advance

5 MTT - 1 FT

what ratios are you expecting?

Need to keep grinding and over a bigger sample variance will even out - if you are a decent player!

So are they significantly different and over what sample size?

since i started feeling this i decided to write it down just to see was it in my head and of 67 recorded games i have lost 43 times with chips in good. thats why i started a "running bad" thread to seek advice which i havnt got yet but no worries, only 2 replies

From what i've heard the variance in mtt is killer so a 63 sample aint that big, theres nothing you can do about running bad only play it out.
If your getting your chips in good that means your dong things right so the good times will follow i cant say how soon but it will happen.

Also i recomend you have a look through your hand history and see are you getting chips in sometimes without needing to we often over look small mistakes and miss some spots where we can capitlize on mistake from others and then blame it on running bad.

If its getting you down why not try a different variant and have some fun!

Dunno, maybe to eat more almonds ? hmm

Maybe try switching to cash games for a bit. It is easier to leave those when you are tilting.

Lightbulb batting!

The best thing you could ever do while running bad is to understand that a bad run is a normal part of poker, and don't give a shit about that. I would love to understand that myself so badly...
