I'm inclined to check/fold turn because I just don't see us stacking worse hands to often but we are losing our stack alot when behind.
I don't believe his range on turn contains alot of air/bluffs and against a value-range we are not doing good. JJ is realistically the only hand we beat but that doesn't justify us to stack off.

I would normally assume that if my opponent is a descent player he would raise our c-bet with his AA/KK/sets/2pair/pair+draw. So when he just calls our c-bet his range becomes a bit weaker in my eyes.
=>The 6 isn't the greatest turn card, I can see alot of 8x hands in his range like 89,78 that would just call your c-bet.

We don't know the player and he could easily just slowplay his AA/KK/sets/2pairs all the way combined with the fact the 6 is a pretty bad turn.

So it's kind if ugly spot but I'm convinced it's going to COST u money instead of making u money if you don't check/fold the turn here.

check/fold is like so weak here ... i'd never do it

Bet $21 on the flop. On the turn I agree that JJ+ should not be in his range although there might be some if he was scared on the flop. Also sets are somewhat unlikely.

But at the same time I cannot see many 8x either.

The more I think about it the more I like the c/r. Even c/c can be an option, but since we don't know if he follows through with his bluffs on the river I'd rather just get it in and maybe get some thin value (vs the better hands we're AI anyway and he'd probably c/b the river with hands like JJ).

However, if you alter the assumptions a bit you can definitely argue for c/f. It appears to be a bit weak, but when the opponent has a range that is far ahead of us there's no point in getting it in with a hand just because we don't want to fold (that's pretty much what all those loose-passive fish do, just in slightly different spots).
