I think A9o is a bit too weak 7 handed to raise UTG, so fold preflop. At least if you still decide raise, make it more - like 3-4 BB. And fold against a 3bet, he can so easily have you crushed here.

As played with calling preflop - don't raise flop. He won't call with worse and if he shoves it's pretty clear he has better Ace, but why raise then in first place? Just call it and hope he has worse hand and you'll get to showdown. We could put a small bet on river if he checks turn and river to get calls from Kx or stuff like that. But just avoid such a spots by folding preflop.

Certainly more luck than judgment having looked again at this hand. I'm dominated by his likely range and should have got out of the hand Pre Flop, or if not, post flop.

From UTG my range should be tighter than A9o, but what would you suggest?

Yes, on such limits you can easily tighten up a lot your range, AQ+.

As I said AQ+ and likely, yes those kind of PPs although I sometimes even raise all the PPs but I wouldn't recommend for the beginning. AJ is also somewhat close, depends on the tables.
