i wonder when i can start having such great stories with my kid...

for now she just has this awesome wrestling move where she pulls ur hair at the same time kicking out so ur face/neck can get maximum impact from her tiny feet. then she gets all happy and gurgly.

I'd make the most of the happy, gurgling, feet kicking phase if I were you. It's much better than the permanent marker on face/refusing to eat fish fingers/stealing money out of your wallet to buy drugs phases.

Anyway, speaking of phases, number one son and I are off to see The Pineapple Thief at The Midlands Premier 700 capacity live concert venue tonight. Even the support band, Godsticks, sound quite interesting.

I need to find something to wear that won't embarrass number one son too much, so it's clean socks, clean underwear, and my smartest cardigan. I think sports casual should do the trick. What do you reckon?

And here's a good reason to go to Wolverhampton tonight. Probably the only good reason ever to go tbh.

Got back from seeing TPT at about 1am. Rather a disappointing turnout - only about 150 people there. They were good, but not absolutely fantastic. I think the awe-inspiring, quasi-religious experience of seeing Porcupine Tree has spoiled me for other bands.

Anyway, I was determined to get up at my usual 6.45am for work, but at 4.30 my daughter decides she's too ill to sleep and jumps in with us, and then from 5am onwards demands her breakfast. So here I am just in at work. Such a slacker. And a serious poker volume fail this weekend (sorry coach!). No cash games at all, just a couple of leisurely sngs in front of the telly with mrsjb. I will have to put in a loooong session tonight. But first I have to chair an interview panel where there are six (wtf! madness!) candidates, which will kill my whole day. Seriously, mind-numbingly dull. fm(professional)l.

Any more comments on those hands before I give my thoughts and reveal Villain's hands?

Hi JB hope you are well.
I stack off on both hands.
JJ hand there are just so many draws he could be on and I would push thinking that at this point I am ahead though maybe only 50/50 if it goes to showdown.
AJ I think you are ahead here, he probably has a weaker ace, maybe check call it down.

Of course prob nothing like it but thats my tuppence worth!

Thanks for all the feedback on these hands everyone. Especially Neil. I'm very well thanks. Nice to see you around again. You must update your blog. It's always interesting.

1) Villain is 48/0 after 32 hands. Who wants to stack off here?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

jbpatzer (MP) ($12.38)
CO ($11.41)
Button ($21.32)
SB ($13.87)
BB ($18.88)
UTG ($8.18)

Preflop: jbpatzer is MP with J♦, J♠
UTG calls $0.10, jbpatzer bets $0.50, 3 folds, BB calls $0.40, 1 fold

Flop: ($1.15) 2♥, 9♠, 8♠ (2 players)
BB checks, jbpatzer bets $0.80, BB raises to $3.55, jbpatzer ????

2) Villain is 39/6 after 51 hands. Again, 'To stack off or not to stack off?', that is the question.

(I spent a long time thinking about how to punctuate that. According to opensourceshakespeare.org, Shakespeare wrote 'To be, or not to be- that is the question:' which I find hard to believe. I wonder when the colon and hyphen were invented?)

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

MP ($19.89)
CO ($9.55)
Button ($11.63)
jbpatzer (SB) ($13.36)
BB ($5.01)
UTG ($8.29)

Preflop: jbpatzer is SB with J♦, A♠
4 folds, jbpatzer bets $0.35, BB calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.70) 8♠, A♥, Q♦ (2 players)
jbpatzer bets $0.35, BB raises to $0.70, jbpatzer calls $0.35

Turn: ($2.10) 2♠ (2 players)
jbpatzer checks, BB bets $1.60, jbpatzer ????

Extra info here. No peeking!

Spoiler

I stacked off in both hands. Villain had the nuts in one hand and nothing in the other, but I'm not saying which is which.

So, hand 1, I reckon it's an easy, easy fold. I failed to look at his stats before deciding I probably had the best hand. It's the poker equivalent of pulling out into traffic without looking in your mirror first. Anyone playing 48/0 who check raises always has at least a set here. If he's that passive, he's not raising with a flush draw. He calls. Having said that, he actually turned up with AA here!

Flatting with premiums seems to be a theme recently. Look how I got completely pwned here!

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($13.27)
jbpatzer (Button) ($10.87)
SB ($11.52)
BB ($2.09)
UTG ($10.66)
MP ($24.16)

Preflop: jbpatzer is Button with 10:club:, 10:diamond:
UTG bets $0.30, 1 fold, CO calls $0.30, jbpatzer calls $0.30, 1 fold, BB raises to $2.09 (All-In), 1 fold, CO calls $1.79, jbpatzer raises to $10.87 (All-In), CO calls $8.78

Flop: ($24.18) Q♣, J♥, A♦ (3 players, 2 all-in)

Turn: ($24.18) 3♠ (3 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($24.18) 7♣ (3 players, 2 all-in)

Total pot: $24.18 | Rake: $1.61

Results:
jbpatzer had 10:club:, 10:diamond: (one pair, tens).
BB had 6♥, 6♦ (one pair, sixes).
CO had K♦, K♠ (one pair, Kings).
Outcome: CO won $22.57

Second hand, I think blind v blind he has enough weak aces and complete air in his range to stack off for 50BB. He showed up with Q4s! :f_biggrin:

regarding AJ hand:

villains turnbet seems like he thinks he can push you off the hand. I guess he thought you would 4bet him for value on the flop if you actually had top pair.

I would guess this is the hand where he had air...

Had another little crack at NL25 rush, and managed to make $10 in 500 hands, so I'm feeling stupidly pleased with myself as I got crushed last time. It didn't seem quite as aggro this time. I will stick with it until I fall below 20BI I think.

OK. I give in. I am enjoying myself. Here's my first ever winning session on NL25 sans TwiceT. Everybody seemed to keep folding, hence the red line.

I presume you're hoping to carry on the TwiceT copying theme by having mrsjb strip down and shake what her momma gave her? I'd make the kids take their beers to their rooms LDO.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHA.

So funny.

Edit: Oh yeah, and happy birthday old man! Time to move that crisis up a gear. :f_grin:
