I think the bet on the flop is ok but on the turn I definitely take the free card and I think that your fold vs his ~ min c/r is bad. We only need ~ 20% eq and we have that like always .


betting flop is fine, although I´d bet 2.2-2.5$ and also turn barreling is fine.
Since you´re ip and he would shove river all his made hands you can also count implied odds, that´s why you should b/c turn
If you think he might make there some kind of play, you can also shove over his turn c/r expecting sometimes to have fold equity

being ip you can do quite a lot of things and if you don think you can play profitable A8s then fold is fine.
I likely would still call, since I don mind playing for stacks if I hit my nut flushdraw, which means he would also pay me off if I have sets on low coordinated board
