Hey ragney, thanks for sharing the secrets of making the EV line orange

Btw, I was looking at your goals for 2011 and 2012, you are a bit pessimistic, you can reach NL200 this years with no problems, given that you continue to improve and that you put in a decent amount of volume.

Good luck with your ascent!

No not really, I am not as good as you think :P
I think I've had some nice upswing and I'm seeing the downswings coming or either my postflop is shit. I read somewhere: "Its good to beat the regulars but its even better to beat the fishes". So I'm just fish hunting and probably around break even vs the good regulars around :f_biggrin:

Not much to say that tonights session was decent. Was quite pissed at my second session, played alittle more aggresive that I should which also caused some mistakes. Not good _mad:

Thanks. If anyone, is actually following this blog... :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin:
Didn't play poker today, so no update :P

Oh one more thing:
You can also add a suggestion, I could post more than just a session result only (they might get/are boring), maybe some mistakes or whatever. I dunno, you're the reader :P

I hope this is a downswing or I just suck?? Last night + today's session. Pretty much whatever I do I get crushed everywhere, from preflop to river cards :f_frown:

Aight somewhat important things after my ~1000 bb downswing (my biggest ever) in two days I learned that:
- Its pretty normal if you play 12-tables. I used to play 6-8 table NL10 and it was pretty standard to lose or win 3-4 stacks per session. Now since I play 12 tables which is nearly double of it, its also normal to lose/win more stacks. So losing 6-7 stacks per session is just normal. This is something I didn't keep in my untill I asked a friend of mine telling me this.
- When I was losing this badly I was actually tempting to study more and adjust even more towards the villian which I am pretty happy about it on my last session. I kept playing more IP, cbetting less and check raising more. Against aggresive opponents, let them bluff or bet big with their marginal hands if the board is abit wet, this works easier IP though. OOP maybe play it straightforward.

Anyway today's sessions:

PokerStars Milestone hand dealt on my table lol, too bad I had a shitty hand and only played 24 hands...

Still whopping $377.50 though _thumbsup:

Hmm I'm seriously getting worried about my play. I do still believe its a downswing, but its not stopping yet after 4 days, probably down by 15 stacks or something _cry:

I'll be doing a detailed research on my play tomororow.

Today's poker:

NL25 graph updated @ post 1

I totally forgot to update my blog, some wicked things has been happening:

First of all, I got crushed NL25, something is wrong and I don't know what. I'm down about 15 stacks over 50k hands. Bankroll is not the problem as I have over 40 stacks to play NL25.

So I've just been playing NL10 back lately and its just to easy compared to NL25. I am planning play NL10 for few more weeks to be better postflop vs regulars, as NL25 I don't have the balls to test it out yet.

I also plan to invest alittle bit towards private coaching.

Won about 10 stacks on my last 10k NL10 hands. EV is about 8 stacks.

From what I saw above, you have leaks.
Like that hand with QQ on A66 board. what's the point on second barreling or calling the shove? they'll only call you with better hands and fold the worse ones.

but keep improving and you'll beat it in no time!

btw i play pokerstars nl25 too, must have played against you.

Yep I already fixed some big leaks already and I play abit nl25 from time to time, I'm not as bad as I used to be but still don't feel really comfortable yet there with my play, I need more postflop experience vs regulars.

Anyway NL10 is easy as always... Not a bad winrate despite I play 15-18 tables. _pleased:

Some NL10 update for this month...

Been running like 700bb's below EV, which isn't motivating at all. I probably wasted 3 stacks just tilting/played too aggresively which is really bad as well. Today I also tried improving my mindset. I was running already like 250bb below EV after 15 minute session, but I kept my cool and only did few mistakes.

Is this a joke? Near 1000 BB below ev on my first week. End of month = 4000 BB below EV? _cry:

Been playing only NL10 for this month, mostly 15 tabling. I know mass tabling is bad but its like an addiction, I can't play less than 15 tables on NL10 where its easy to beat. I've been slowly improving my play vs the bad regulars down there, they are quite easy now. The massa tabling is keep me away from improving faster but I'll set a goal to fix that.

April goals:
:spade: Last week of april I will start playing NL25 4-6 tabling, no more.
:spade: Play at least 60k NL10 hands

Stars this month so far:

Full tilt poker (for some sick promo's, should be ~55% rakeback if played optimally)

I hope we can run like this in the future. With the current mass tabling I am trying to find time to be one step ahead of my opponents. Meaning, whats the possibility that this opponent will raise me, whats his range and than decide wether to bet, check or raise. Now we need a bigger sample _cool:

Today was a nice day, adding the earnings from FTP today, a grand total of +7.5 BI :f_thumbsup:
