Hey all
I have a hand from SNG Wizard quiz that is confusing me.

Blinds 400/800/50
Heads up
Hero SB 2912 10 :diamond:, 4 :heart:
Villain BB 6435 (Calling 48%)

I choose fold as Im way behind his range if he calls. SNG Wizard says its a push, but in the 48% of times he calls Im behind against his entire range. Even with a large fold equity I think this is a mistake, obviously its a bad spot but pushing 100% with hands this bad. I dont like it. Any time he calls and Im ahead I double up, so Im pushing saying any AKQJ pairs, suited two gapers, but still folding the rest.

Maybe Im missing something, I only have 3.5 BBs which puts the argument for pushing 100%. Looking at it 10 4 off is 71% so ahead of 29% of hands. So pushing any 10???

It just doesnt feel right to push 100% from the SB.

It's chip EV when HU.

Initial pot is 800+400+2*50=1300. You will take it down 52% of the time.

T4o has 32,6% equity vs 48% range. Everytime he calls, you're losing 563 chips on average. ("Total pot"*"your equity" - "amount you shove")

So, on average you will win:

1300*52%+(-563)*48% = +406 chips.

Im looking at my tourney evaluations in SNG Wizard and its telling me Im way too tight. Not aggressive enough.
Trying to boost my winrate in tourneys rather than just being run of the mill make the money, its a hard transition and takes alot of practise to develop this ICM style.
Reading some forum entries from tourney players and they seem to go for it pretty hard.
Anyway thanks again for the feedback.
