Hi guys,

I decided I can't stand constant iPoker software freezes anymore, and am looking for another site where I could create an account tracked by PokerStrategy. Can you help my to choose one?

My primary game is micro-stakes (up to $3) SNGs, so I'm looking for a site with a decent choice of fast, but not super fast SNGs (levels 4-7 mins) with good blind structure. Other considerations are:

Requirements:

  • Not PokerStars, not FullTilt. It's sad I have to say it, but I created accounts on both sites before joining PokerStrategy, and they're untracked
  • Not iPoker. Obviously, since iPoker is where I'm running away from :)
  • Max rake 20%. 20% seems to be almost industry standard on micro stake SNGs, and I have to live with it. However, I don't want to pay more to the likes of PartyPoker. Of course, lower rake is always welcome
  • Decent software. What I'm looking for, in order of decreasing importance: No freezes, not resource hungry, lobby which refreshes quickly, 4-colour deck option, preferred seat option, register in identical option

Nice to have:

  • Multi-tabling allowed. Kinda obvious, but I expect every site to allow at least 4 tables, and I can't play more yet. However, I want to be able to add more tables as I improve, so this definitely is a consideration
  • Supported by Holdem Manager. It's not necessary at micro stakes, but I have it, so why not use it
  • Multi-table SNGs offered. Not really important (I can always play them on Stars if I really want to :) ), but nice to have

Hope I didn't forget anything. Any advice would be very much appreciated

Many thanks
Yuri

You have pretty much requirements, and refuse basically all the biggest poker rooms... Well, Party is left, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it since the rake for micro SNG's is enormously big and only turbo games are available.

But anyways - did you play with real money on PS and FTP with these untracked accounts before? If not, you can try creating another (tracked this time) account and have your previous accounts closed without severe consequences. Also, if you want your account tracked just because of rakeback - poker rooms can help you with that, just contact the support with this issue.

Well, I don't exactly refuse the biggest rooms... I just need to earn strategy points somehow :)

I want account tracked to earn strategy points and be able to access more advanced articles/videos - there are a lot of gold videos I'd like to watch. I believe it's impossible to re-track Stars or Full Tilt account for this purpose. And unfortunately I did play with real money on both

I would consider trying out William Hill. You get most Strategy points/$1 rake then any other rooms, plus pokerstrategy has had tons of promotions at WH lately. It's likely however traffic isn't that high, but also to be very soft in comparison to stars/tilt.

I've never played on WH.. but it's definetly the next room i'm going to check out since it has some great benefits for a pokerstrategy player.

(edit: Didn't realise it was on ipoker network but i'd still try it :f_p: )

edit2: I'd probably try out a site which also has other casinogames/sports booking like bwin, betfair or bodog since they usualy have lots of fish. Can't recommend any of them though since i've never played on them.

I'm not sure if it's impossible. My suggestion would be just to ask about that for support. It may be possible since your old acc would get closed and you wouldn't be able to cheat anyhow.

I talked to Full Tilt about it a while ago. They won't budge. And I understand why: when I'm registered on my own accord, they get all my rake; when I'm registered through PokerStrategy (or another affiliate), they have to share. I could try it with Stars, but from what I heard, the chance is lower than to get runner-runner quads

Hahaownedlolz, thanks for the suggestions!

I actually know one guy who successfully got an opportunity to re-enter a promotion code (he didn't enter it when registering first) on PS, that's why I suggested that.

I'm afraid nothing satisfies all your requirements.

I'm not sure about the rake at bwin (ongame) but that would be the less horrible option IMO , at least until you can play the $11s at party

Thanks alejandrosh! Downloading bwin now

I will never stop regretting that I created Stars and FT accounts too early...

I dont like ongame's software, i'd recommend UB/Absolute poker (if you can get over that superuser scandal from past).

Yeah, Ongame is quite good. You can play $3.3 there and it's easy to get rakeback through buying bonuses. The software is even worse than iPoker though.

Thanks a lot to everyone! bwin software does look awful, but so far seems to perform better than iPoker, so hopefully I will be able to get my strategy points there. If it doesn't work out, I'll try UB

Many thanks again!

Good luck with multitabling
