I withdrew all but 500$ from FT and decided to start on NL25 with 20BI requierd to move on the next limit. I think I'll keep with this BRM untill NL100. Off course I'll play less tables, tableselect a lot and so on. I plan to move down if I loose 5BIs on the new level, but then try again when I have the 20BIs. At the moment I'm 300$ away from the 2k I need for NL100.
I would say that you would need atleast 50BI for 100nl atleast if you just start at that limit. Its alot different when you lose a stack on BSS than SSS, well thats what i thought when i lost 3 buyings in 5 minutes the first time i started BSS. Anyways, your blog is very interesting Rah, keep up the good work and good luck at the tables pal.
i find the classic view ugly at stars but i think the black theme with 4 colour background for each suit for the cards makes it super easy to see (good colour contrast) and it owns Fulltilt IMO
of course there isn't a pot button but u can always use your mouse wheel to quickly scroll the bet size so i think it isn't really needed
as for bankroll, I believe u need at least 30 buyins (for SH, and maybe FR), maybe even more. Personally I found moving down very hard and I think 20 is way too crazy, variance is just way too high even with good table selection and good edge over your opponents.
And I think SH is better than FR and you should try to transit fast (even consider SSS at SH after you get a better feel with BSS)
-Less Pro shortstackers, many bad shortstackers
-More chances to attack fish
-Less nits
good luck

Haven't really tried that, does it go in half blind increment?

I'm aware my BRM is basically on the crazy side, but since it's not my complete bankroll, only the part I have on FT and on this limits money per se it's not that important, I think as long as I'm willing to move down I should be fine.

I think I'll play FR a little more to get a better grasp on the basics, then eventually switch.
good luck

Hmm...
Today I turned 30y old.
I'm old now ![]()
At least it didn't hurt.
I think I should become more serious.
Naaaaaahhhhh!
Pokerwise is being pretty interesting. After the heather on NL50 in the begining I'm around breakeven in February. I made many mistakes, but hopefully I learned something from them. I'm also too lazy to review my sessions which is incredibly bad since I'm just learning. Hopefully now that I'm more mature this will change :f_mad:.
Cya around people!
hahhahaha... "stari" vse naj naj... pa praznuj kej, ce se ti bo dalo ;)))
happy b-day to youuuu, happy b-day to youuu, happy b-day deaaar RahXephon... happy b-day toooo yooouuuu!

Hello everyone, it's been almost a month since I'm playing BSS. Yesterday I had an incredbly big loosing day, some coolers, some boards turning bad, some suckouts and before I know I'm throwing things around my apartment.
Usually I'm not really prone to tilt, but since I had little time to play in the last ten days and have been studyng some lately I was really hoping to put some things in practice. Also I read some article about Phil Ivey where it talks how he basically played nonstop for such a long time, so I was in the mood for playing for the whole evening.
Well scratch my plan after one hour I'm down a lot and the only reasonable thing to do is take a break for the day. It's really hard when you try to learn something, you need to put in the time for practice, but you must stop for damage control. It's really different from other sports/games.
Yesterday I felt pretty useless afterwards. The hardest part for me is probably that I'm in the unknown beginning again, where you don't know if you have what it takes to be a good player. With SSS I was pretty confident since I climbed the limits played some months and I was a winning regular on my limit. I know I was able to make some profits in the long run. Most importantly I understood the game there and knew how to make my profits (basically knowing where the money is hidden).
Now I'm basically in the dark, I'm playing NL50, but I don't know if I'm a winning player, honestly I don't even know if I'm a winning player on NL25. I don't have my style of play, I try to adapt to my opponents, but I'm not sure I do it correctly. I feel I'm above my opp. level in some fields, but teribly under in others. Maybe I should just go trough the fundamentals again and focus on that, instead of studying NL1000 material and do moves that don't work here on NL50.
Maybe I should get coachings, but it seems kinda lame to have coachings for this level, since one should be able to beat those limits with just a little homework.
I guess for know, I just need to refocus, learn something new every day and results will come eventually.
P.S. If some NL50ers are up for some sweat sessions just message me.
Cya everyone!!!

why not? it helps u a lot, even on NL50. i had already a coaching on the same limit. the coach is able to tell u the bigegst mistakes, so that u can work on it. an if he doesnt find anything, u have the confirmation that ur game is good.
it might cost a stack or 2, but if u are more confident after its a good investment.
so u play on stars? FR? we might have already met ♦
whats ur screen name? maybe i can remember it sitting at work.

It was a nice weekend pokerwise. Haven't played much, but I managed to make some nice results of which the highlight was +500$ sunday (best day ever). I feel the short break I took in the end of last week was really beneficial. I was soulreading players all around corectly putting them on hands and pushing them out of pots when i sensed weakness.
Also I noticed how big the difference in the strenght of my game is if I'm tired/not concentrated. It wasn't that way with SSS but here is incredible. I really need to stop playing all the sessions where I'm not 100% in the right mindframe immediately.
Cya everyone!
Hey Rah,
I made the switch from SSS to BSS a few months ago, BSS is much more complex but you will get the feel for the game soon enough, just grind a couple more k hands and try not to play 2 many tables, any over studying is not that much helpful (i also tend 2 overstudy) cuz you still must play preety equity based, atleast Nl25.
Anyways i've moved up to nl50 and we can do like some sweat sessions.

Oh, i also made the switch from FL to SH in the last few months, first you need a feel for the FL definitly, but Sh is more fun :).
Oh check osmium's yes we can series if you didnt yet. (you prolly did)
Happy birthday ![]()
