Have seen alot of vids on this group and these people have some ignorant and uneducated views on religion. Everything they do and preach is justified by the bible.If you found the last one to be bad then enjoy the next one.

And this is when freedom of speech backfires on the society. I think it's preposterous those people are allowed to raise children. A prime example of why religion should disappear from this world. Blind obedience to anything in general and ambiguous scripture in specific is dangerous. It can lead to things like unfounded hate like above, or worse yet, extremism and murder in the name of god, and those things heavily outweigh any merit religion might have. Sometimes humanity just makes me sad.

i'm an atheist myself but i respect people's rights to believe in whatever they want provided they don't infringe upon the freedoms of others. IMO this is the best approach. personally i don't see how people can believe in some mysterious being up in the sky creating everything, and obviously i hate people like those in the videos, but it's tough to punish people just for saying what they believe (retarded as it may be)

Well, there's nothing wrong with being open to the possibility of deities of some sort, but to base your entire life on unfounded beliefs is a lifestyle remnant from the Dark Ages when people had to fill the gaps in their knowledge with whatever they were told for the lack of alternatives. Now that we actually start to figure out how the Universe works, and have a valid explanation for things like the development of life and diverse species, the need for religion is slowly disappearing, and it's reduced to philosophical and moral discussions. I think accepting anything without any reason or proof (definition of faith) is not something we as rationally thinking people should endorse or even approve of in modern day society.
A little more on the topic of punishing people for what they believe, it's a grey area, but I'll just come right out and describe the first example that came to my head. The Nazi honestly believed that Jews were the source of all the evil and malice in the world, and that "cleansing" the world of them would make it a much better place for everyone. That was their belief, their philosophy. But if you march out on the street and start preaching Hitler's world view you might get arrested (depending on the country). Not only that, you'll be labelled as a no-good lying provocative Nazi scumbag who tries to turn people against each other, and rightfully so.
In conclusion I think Bill Maher formulated it quite nicely:
"This is what I believe."
