I just see no positives to it. If I have nothing showing people may perceive me as a fish (randoms) whereas with it showing that's virtually impossible.

I think in tournaments it could possibly work quite well. Fish might just give you way too much credit when you bet cause they are intimidated by the supernova status. But in your regular cashgames or probably anything else i don't see any benefit.
