Don't know much about deep tournament play, but you just had a huge stack for 20000+2500 blinds IMO. And going broke on MP1 with ATo... I don't like it.
Preflop he is 3beting MP1 raiser, so fold is best play.
Unfortunately you hit a nice flop and turn...
Flop is fold, 10 high flush looks so dangerous.
Turn is game over, we hit and so much in the pot.
That is my point of view, hope it makes any sense.
preflop I fold... but if I were you I also call cuz this dude is def 3betting you wide and your good enough postflop to pwn him.. I wouldn't give myself much credit for outplaying anyone with ATo here.. ♦

river is like mehhhh... pot odds are great and if you believe him to have air here sometimes it's fine...
His line is like you say super strong.. but if you have a feel that he can do this with some randomness it's ofc. fine.. but based on stats and stuff It's really fugly..

Personally, I'd either fold pre or turn hand into 4 bet bluff depending on image and dynamic. ATo is probably slightly ahead of his 3b range and you're in position but imo it doesn't play that well post flop, especially against someone who is agro.
I think your flop call is really questionable. You could float but if you complete flush, you are still in a tough spot. Also, there really aren't that many cards that you'd like to see on next streets... I mean ace is probably as good as it gets and you might be dominated. If anything I think raising and turning your hand somewhat into a bluff on flop depending on if you think the guy can fold might make more sense, but I don't really like that line either considering he seems kinda maniac-ish.
As played, turn and river is perfectly fine I guess. I agree with your thought process there.

this is what ive realised, upon review.
As well as being hard to play post-flop, ATo is not even ahead of a top-19% 3-betting range; so I would fold pre-flop, but then I'm a pre-flop nit. Making at least a call with AQo+, AJs+, and 99+ as well as some hands like JTs makes intuitive sense to me.
Folding on the flop (or sometimes making a dicey raise) seems best as you are very rarely ahead of his range and have no clean outs.
12 tabling seems to be where i get my best $/hr.
I tile, and I load continuously.

I'm feeling a bit better about spewing off a 50bb stack in the 30k gtd. I dont think its the worst play ever, but I definitely would play it differently in hindsight.
While it is quite depressing to have a lot of deep runs in big field mtts lately, I'm looking on the bright side. I've made quite a bit of money from these games so far, I've improved SO much in 1 month just from practicing and learning a few tricks. I'm starting to add a few mid-stakes BIs to my schedule on Sundays and I hope to bink something big very soon.... and of course I'm having lots of fun, getting deep is such a rush!
I wanted to say that I've found your blog very inspiring, and also reassuring when trying to deal with the emotional gutshot that is an extended SNG downswing. (Overpair? He's got a better one that holds up, or a worse one that flops a set. Set? He makes a flush or straight, or goes the exotic route and hits a runner-runner superior boat. Flop a boat? He's flopped quads. And I'm not making any of this up, or having to stretch further back in memory than the last three sessions, which are the tip of the downswing iceberg.) So thanks for all your contributions, but I think your demonstration of composure under pressure is possibly the most valuable to many of us.

I know this quote is from your first post which makes it very old, but I was wondering what the bonus was? Because you seem to clear it very very fast. 62$ in like 260 games is a lot!!! It takes like 10200fpp points to clear the bonus on pokerstars, is it much easier to clear at FT or was this a one time offer of some sort?

Yea, but you get 600$ for that, not 62$. And to clear full stars bonus you need to rake 1855$ which gives you almost 33% rb. Yes, it is difficult to clear it playing micros, but you get 6 months and also you can make 2 more deposits in 90 days after 1st deposit, so you can actually have 9 months to clear the bonus. If you play lowest turbo 9mans(1,5$+0,25$), you need ~7,5k games to clear it, that's ~850 games/month. Not that much imo if you can multitable a bit
