lol, thats like me, I started playing MTT's more on pokerstars just before Christmas and was done with them just about a month ago ... I was breakeven after the whole time. (played about 250 of them) Why? Cuz I coulnt make the final table. I was 12th twice, 17th once, so many times in top 100 but thats just not enough. I'm glad I gave FT the second chance, started playing Rush on Demand + HU and its going sooooo well.... Pokerstars is still the favorite <3 but i gotta play where i make the money right

Once you ship one, I might start playing those again

You're probably never gonna play MTT again

Those ROD's are pretty soft, i played one and made a FT.. but with no guarantee its just not worth playing imo.
Played one rush tourney today btw, didnt rly go too well.. i decided to jam oesd+backdoor flush draw, but didnt get there.

lol, the guarantee is passed everytime anyways on stars so that doesnt matter I guess
I really like those ROD. So sooft. Won 2x the ROD 1 dollar + several other FT's, was 2nd in 4,40 one for 188 (my biggest single sum ) + playing well in HU lately ... all in all 600 made on FTP over last 50 days, and I play only a little since Im in the middle of my final exams. I haven't had that much luck on pokerstars ... around 200 in plus over the whole year (since I started playing). Those big MTT's are fun though...

Ok just make the final table once and I will give them a shot again

Yea, thats true.. but the gtd tournaments have so many players because of the gtd. Without it there would be like 200 players. The non-gtd tournaments dont really attract that many ppl so the prizepool is smaller and potential win isnt that big. While if you bink a random hot dog stakes gtd donkament on PS/FTP you're gonna be staring at 4 figures almost everytime :)

Wow, nice results man :) Do you also play the big rush tournaments? I always dream of shipping that $2,2 donkament with 16k gtd.
Mtts can be fun, but when you bust on the bubble you wish you never started to play poker

When you explain why you made the call and was right it's perfect. When you just say I called with X high and was right it's just donking around. You can call every hand everytime and you will be right a few times without a pair and it's nothing to brag about.

Well ask yourself this question: what hands would he call me down on two streets and donk for half the pot on the river? Hands with pretty much no showdown value like a straight draw or pairs that dont play anymore. He wouldnt play a flush this way, he wouldnt play an ace/six this way and he wouldnt play a hand like 77-KK this way.

If you think about it, its not as much of a spewy call as it might seem. :)

Alficor1: As I said, I'm having exams around this time so I dont really play that much. Especially dont have time for guaranteed tournaments as they take so much time. So right now, Im just focusing on 6 dollar heads up turbo ... its going so great (today played for 2 hours 1-table HU and made 73dollars ) Good feeling then helps studying lol (2 hours is max around these days, sometimes I dont play at all)

I'm definitely gonna give those guaranteed rush tournament a shot but not earlier than at the end of July. Gotta finish exams, then going to the states for a month (cant play). After that my part-time summer job as poker player begins. My parents just have to go with it. I finally wanna take it more seriously and think that I have had good enough results to try it... Gonna play mainly on FTP, heads up, Rush on demand and will try guaranteed tournament as well... I always wanted to ship 4-figures too, well its not that easy

some people bluff Q high at that spot, even though it has pretty good SD value, hard call

How would just a queen hi get to the river? :f_confused: I dont think he'd float two streets oop with something like QTo or hand like that..

How does winning money help your studying? When i was playing two weeks ago i couldnt focus on studying afterwards at all, i was having day dreams about what im gonna buy for the money.
Yea, i have huge plans for this summer too.. shipping maney, buying a car.. god i cant wait :)

Just dont care about what your parents think about your grinding, thats the best you can do imo.. i dont see how you can persuade them that poker is actually not gambling. :)

I actually taught my dad how to play that, he just watched how I played. So he knows, its not just about luck (but longtermly about skill). My mum doesnt like it that much but whatever...

My plans are not that huge though. Buying a car? lol, which one? If I made 1K over August, I think I will be satisfied e more than enough ...
