I now have a BR of $323 from the origional $50 from just playing SSS. I have few questions.
Is there a "right time" to change from SSS to BSS?
Should I change from SSS to BSS even though it's working for me?
Are there any main advantages in playing BSS?
Just interested in peoples opinions and the path that they have taken.

With that bankroll, you can of course switch to BSS if you want. I'm myself playing SSS, though I have a $900 bankroll now. Between BSS and SSS, I just choose the simpler way to win. And i won't switch until i reach a four figure bankroll.
Again it's up to you to switch or not.

The only practical advice I will give you is: stick to SSS at least untill you play around 20-30k hands on NL 100. Simply because untill that time you will suffer some real downswings and will have chance to get comfortable with natural ups and downs of the game...(couple of -20 buy-in streaks will help to some degree))) And it is far easier to understand this aspect of the game playing with a short stack...

I definitely choose bss, but I'm not a cashgame player.
I choose bss, simply because it's harder, gives me tougher decisions, and since I don't play cash to make money, that is the way to go for me.
Many casino's don't allow sss (minimum buy in 40bb), and I pretty much want to learn cash because you get a better deal on that in most casino's. That's pretty much my only reason to choose bss over sss.
You should make a slow transition. Start having some NL5 sessions , even if you have the BR for higher limits. As a shortstack you are mostly playing mechanically and your postflop game is probably weak at the moment. So play NL5 where the opponents are weaker and the mistakes you make will not be so costly.
I myself was at the same time learning BSS and feeding my BR off SSS , but i guess it is not recommended to play both styles during the same session.
thanks for the comments guys. I think i'll stick to the SSS. I am at thesame time reading up on BSS and give it a go at some point, prob when I hit a BR that I feel is enough.

As soon as one has built like 200$-250$ it's ok to move step by step to the BSS on NL 10.. To my mind, the BSS is more profitable against the numerous fishes at the micro stakes(at Mansion you will ALWAYS find customers when you have a hand..). Besides, it represents the game at its full beauty and is more interesting than the SSS, because you are involved in more betting rounds.
The bad thing is that most of the times you can't blame your losses on luck(as in the SSS) but on yourself ♦

I was wondering about the change myself, so I now play both..........
I play my SSS at Party and BSS at Everest. Use PokerTracker and PokerStrategy to analyse both games......The more you learn the game the better.
My BSS at Everest is just a way to test it out with my bonuses there.......
I think you can't really decided whether BSS or SSS is best for you until you actually play both for a while, so thats what Im doing.
