I'm trying to make a fresh start with poker this summer. That means no crazy out-of-BRM shots, no 6-tabling, no 3/6 HU against aggro fishes (!).

I want to make stable income from poker (stable at FL SH, haha), therefore I need somewhat tighter BRM. Being a decent winner at 1/2 would be enough money for me.

I'm listening to Tommy Angelo's Eightfold Path series, very good stuff for the right mindset.

Today I recieved a ticket from PS:

"I am pleased to inform you that you have won a book ("Think like a pro" by Byron Jacobs) in our recent raffle. Congratulations!"

hehehe :f_grin:

Good luck with the stable income. RB FTW!

Volume + playing solid = B/E+ (fingers crossed).

Meh i have a feeling that after black friday FL small stakes (1/2-3/6) just got softer.. For sure there are less tables but they are mostly softer than before _love:

So nowdays it's like: Volume + playing solid = decent WR _cool:

No 3bet pre? Why not get SB to call one more small bet.

Read on opponent to do this calldown?

I'd say turn peel is ok, although K hits his range hard, but you are going to c/c on a J and maybe cr/cry call on A.
River call unimproved is really read dependent.

Yes, I missed a 3bet preflop.

Flop checkraise is for value, I underrepresented my hand preflop and I'm a favourite on this board.

I remember him being an overaggro LAG, so I expect him to rebluff me alot. This turn is perfect for him to raise for free SD as I have lots of draws in my range. On this river I just have to call against this guy if I decided to call the turn. He would always bet a missed flushdraw on the river in my opinion.

Hi there! The link points to microstakes full ring videos only, so for SH you need to use other filters.

Dawnfall + DC + Tommy Angelo have made me such a great player (well, at least much better than I was in May). Still not great enough to win anything at 1/2 :f_biggrin:

I will keep going

I think it's the first time where I decide to bluffraise the river over a long time. Against a 29/19/2.1/32 guy.

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 Limit Hold'em - 6 players

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is CO with A :club: 9 :spade:
2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero calls

Flop: (9 SB) 8 :club: J :club: 8 :diamond: (3 players)
SB bets, BB folds, Hero calls

Turn: (5.5 BB) 3 :diamond: (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls

River: (7.5 BB) K :club: (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls

Hero shows A :club: 9 :spade: (a pair of Eights)
SB shows A  Q :club: (a pair of Eights)
SB wins 11 BB

Owned.

Hey, you play Short Handed right? How many hands you play in one day? and how many tables?

Yes, I play shorthanded. Recently I reduced the number of tables, now I'm 2-3 tabling and observing everything. Only about 300-700 hands per day, but always trying to play my A+ game.

okay, I was just thinking that how much would be good to play:D, I basically play 1000-2000 hands in a day and 4 table, and I will hope to be higher limits soon as well:) running hot at the moment, and in stars 0.05/0.10 Limit is so soooo fishy,

DC - Deuces Cracked? If so, was this the only video site that you tried?

I'm looking for some good SH FL micro vids and I'm torn between DC, Dragthebar & Bluefire - suggestions?

I don't know about the others, but DC is very very good. But for micros PokerStrategy materials are more than enough imo.

This is true - but for the foreseeable future I'm going to be travelling a lot with work, so I'm not going to be playing much (my status will probably remain bronze for a while). So I'm looking to subscribe to one of these sites so that I can download the videos and take them with me. Playing .5/.10 constantly has taught me some very bad habits, so I'd like to concentrate on unlearning them and moving up.
