BTN 3 bets 13% of the time, so yes, you should be raising this preflop. In fact, if he does 3 bet you, given you have an ace (making it unlikely he has AA himself) you should consider 4 bet shoving this hand as you can put a lot of pressure on him to fold a pair of kings, plus 65% of the time he holds neither AA nor KK and you're actually ahead.

The flop is a standard bet with overpair and flush draw, but on the turn you have to fold to his donk bet. He has at least 2 pair here and you're hoping to get lucky. I expect your equity to be no greater than 25% here and you need 33% to call so I think it's a nice easy fold.

Even his bluffs likely have you beat here such as KK with s or 876x for a busted straight draw that made 2 pair.

I want to talk a little more about isolating preflop in this situation.

As I recall the dynamic of the table, the BTN was rather aggressive and not straightforward player at all. Furthermore, he was calling pretty much any my raise preflop.

Furthermore, I was sure that if I raise, the BB and UTG will call as well. We would have 4way action.

By having all this in mind and not so good position I like to keep a pot small. Many times it will go limp around.

If I raise we would have around 2 usd PF and I will need to check/fold many flops because I do not want to barrel 2 streets OOP against BTN which was not giving up easy.

I kind a feel by raising I would build a pot for some one else very often.

I am incline to isolate much more if I have a BTN in this situation.

Please, correct me if my thinking if not correct somewhere.

So long as your equity is higher than the percentage of money you are putting in the pot, then you are building the pot for yourself. Now if you are folding too much on the flop, that is a different matter, but simply by looking at the percentages preflop, you should be able to get an idea of whether or not your raises are good.
