Opp seemed like a tight passive fishy player, stats were 15/9 wtsd 20%, w$sd 100% over small sample

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players -

BTN: $11.31
Hero (SB): $10.35
BB: $13.31
UTG: $13.97
CO: $4.58

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB with J :spade: J :heart:
1 fold, CO calls $0.10, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.60, BB calls $0.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($1.30) 5 :club: 3 :spade: 5 :spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $1, BB calls $1

Turn: ($3.30) A :heart: (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BB raises to $5.57, Hero folds

The question is to bet turn or not? I think that I can still get value from smaller pp's. On the other hand he would probably check them and only bet with an ace, that way i save money. And if he checks I can still bet for value on blank river. What do you think?

Hello Indahaus,

As you said yourself he is tight/passive so therefore I would expect him to have some kind of stronger hand in his range when he does that. Either maybe already has the trips/FH, could be some FD with the Ax and maybe even sometimes just the backdoor FD with A high or whatsoever if he has small amount of fold to CBet.

But I would still 2nd barrel there for the reason that you still might get even value from some draws and even weaker PPs. And we don't want to turn our hand into bluff-catcher.
