"The only new information so far is FTP owe the agcc £250000 in fees, which they have said will be paid within 7 days"

It's clear to me that Full tilt is a corrupt company, and none of us has any chance of getting our money back, what funds they do have will be gobbled up by lawyers and doj fines, goodnight full tilt
as usual the man on the street is ignored

I'm not sure what to make of the hearing. On one hand, I was kinda bummed that no new idea was revealed. Not that I was expecting any new info. I think if Full Tilt Poker pays the AGCC fees that's a good thing. Why pay fees if there's no chance of them getting back online. I also think the fact that they've pushed the hearing to a later date is a good thing. Selling Full Tilt Poker will take some time. They've obviously got lots to figure out.

I still think whoever buys Full Tilt will be getting a good deal. Bad press aside, it was reported that Full Tilt generated like a billion dollars last year. Even after you cut that in half (no more US players), and subtract operational cost, there's definitely money to be made. Plus, Full Tilt Poker is widely regarded as the best poker software in the business.

I also think that the new owners will be looked at as heros by some (if the deal requires them to pay back US players), who've come in and saved the day. Without new owners players don't get paid, with new owners they do. Obviously, some players will never trust Full Tilt Poker again. My stance is, how can you blame new owners for mistakes made by the old owners, especially when the new owners are the ones paying back US players.

If therețs been a court ruling that no US players are allowed to play on FT, I see no reason for the new owners to pay their br back. I think that would be atoo expensive an advertisement. If there are 10 mil. US payers and the average roll is 100$, the whole abount is 1 billion. even if the whole amount would be 100 mil. Who would pay that back without some court order (since the accounts are illegal)? It is just like havind two accounts: you break the rules, you lose the money...

and another thing: if FTP had a billion in revenues last year, why can't they pay 400k to that commission? it should be less than 0,1% of their profit and they would make it back in one day of raking.

Their value went down, they're nowhere close to 1billion worth now.
