This hand was played as part of an 8game mix, plo is probably my weakest game. Villain is a v aggro/spewy losing reg who seems to be on permatilt. He knows im capable of folding here once he repots my lead out. Is this play ok?

Preflop is actually very probably a fold in my book. There are no good flops for your hand barring hitting a flush right off the bat, and since you are first to act in a limped pot, you're just not going to get paid off.

That said there are lots of bad flops for your hand that look like good flop (this being one of them!) where you will spew a lot of chips. Here you move all in with a 9 out draw (we are certain you have to be behind on this flop when opponent raises). This is the equivalent of going all in with an outside straight draw in NLHE (which you know is a bad thing).

Personally I would fold preflop, even for half a bet, because we are out of position with a weak drawing hand, and we can potentially lose a lot of money if we see either a flush draw or hit an ace/ 2 pair on the flop.

(in the case of a flush draw, we are always going to get it in 65/35 behind and we wont get paid off often being out of position. Likewise with 2 pair, we will never have top 2, so a lot of better hands out there on boards like T54/AT3/AA7

If I had seen a flop with this hand, I would definitely check/call since I have a bluff catcher with my ace, and 9 outs is enough to keep someone honest on 1 street.
