standard get it in on flop ? i was carried away with my A :heart: so hoped he might eventually fold some hands with :heart: draw :rolleyes:

How showdown bound is he? if you call the flop instead of 3betting you get to use your blocker to bluff heart turns.

This is one of those flops where we should look at what the opponent could possibly be check raising with. In our hand we have A35, so that reduces the chance that the opponent is doing it with a straight wrap. We also have the A :heart: which rules out nut flush draws, so the most likely outcome here is either a set or maybe K :heart: Q :heart: J :club:9 :spade: type hand.

Personally it looks heavily weighted towards top set, but with that said, we can't just fold to a check raise. You could consider calling the checkraise since we have 12 outs to a straight, plus a bunch of hearts to allow us to bluff 2 streets (though we're probably not deep enough to bluff succesfully all the time here).

So call the check raise, possibly with the intention of folding if the board pairs (and villain fires into us again). This way we save money when we don't improve.

That said, if your opponent is pretty loose and his checkraising range involves a lot of 1 pair + draw hands, then we have to get it in here. However if he is reasonable and doesn't get out of line, then take a more passive line and give him some respect for having a set here, since it's the only legitimate hand he can show up with.

i have no idea about showdown stats, i dont have HUD on table, i use only active players window in HEM and there is no WTSD stat...

calling seems fine, next time ill do it unles my spewy side wins again :f_grin:
