if you were UTG, how would you play your AA against me?

how much would you bet on turn?

would you check river or bet it? how much?

Can't help but comment your play instead of his. 3bet flop, he wants to get it in...

Hello YinYangS,

Guess I wouldn't really start commenting the opponents play while you did a horrible play yourself. :( Or is the hand from someone else?

Preflop: Standard 3bet, no way I am going to trap and Call here.

As played
Postflop: Donking is even worse here which I don't like at all. Rather Check it and play it more passively. You will never know where you stand with your hand. As you went for a trap, what was your plan with AA? Set-mining?

About his play it's of course even worse. :P He could have got a lot more value of you by betting the turn bigger, betting the river. :)

Best regards.

hi veriz just wondered around and have a question. are you advocating 3b UTG with 22? are you just isolating yourself from a stronger range of hands plus if he calls your OOP and you just bloated the pot?

I was talking about the Hero who was holding AA obviously.

Hero was holding 22, villain was holding AA

Depends what's your image? :P But most likely I might even skip the raise on flop. Since with raise we just make a lot worse hands to fold and only protect any kind of draws. But if the opponent is rather passive then we can practically just isolate ourselves against better hands. If he turns into 3bet there we never gonna know where we stand with AA.

But as played should definitely bet it bigger on turn, ~$3 at least as he went for value.
