Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($10.46)
Hero ($7)
UTG ($22.85)
CO ($15.10)
BTN ($51.01)

Dealt to Hero 9♥ Q♣

UTG calls $0.20, fold, BTN calls $0.20, SB calls $0.10, Hero checks

FLOP ($0.80) 6♣ 7♣ 8♣

SB bets $1, Hero ???

In this hand I get a freeplay in the BB. Flop brings me a monsterdraw (OESD + flush draw). SB decides to put an overbet. What could he be representing here? Can I still raise his cbet with my monsterdraw?

Hey,

I think you do NOT have a monsterdraw. Your Qhi is among the third nutflushdraw ;).

If you raise here, I think you get called by dominating hands like A:c x or already made hands like 2pairs++

Against that u have:

Board: 6♣7♣8♣
       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    32.59%  31.91%   0.68% { Qc9h }
MP3    67.41%  66.73%   0.68% { 66, 5d5c, 5h5c, T9s, 87s, 76s, 54s, JcTc, Ac9c, Jc9c, Ac5c, Ac4c, Ac3c, Ac2c }

I would fold here since you dont get the odds to call on the Flop + when you hit, you might be running against better ;)

Isn't an overbet some kind of bluffy?

If you have a strong hand you will bet for value and not overbet ... so why bet $1 in a $0.80 pot?

BTW, I folded here, but BTN called him down. SB showed 4 :heart:5 :club: :rolleyes:
