[Closed] vbet smaller?

Already discussed this with my coach, seems like the best line would be to hp all the way.

u potted the river ? wtf?! I'd bet super small, we want some value from 5x and medium pps. We can't get value from anything betting so big. He's calling with better Q's only, coz he don't have worse Qs in his range.

I disagree with #2 he can definitely have some suited queens in his range.

I understand you;re trying to shove and get value repping a pretty narrow value range but I probably prefer to bet 13.50ish as everybody is making really done bluffs on the river atm in heads up. It's the first hand too so he can always spew/make super thin call.

I can't really see any reason to bet it like this... even against known opponents it really has to have very good reason to do so.

I mean what you gonna try to achieve with it?
Make better hands to fold? -> Turn your hand into bluff.

Or you want to get value from worse?
With betting smaller you practically let him hero-call even maybe with Ax, definitely any PP/pair is able to Call you vs smaller bet and in long run you will earn by this much more value.

Would really like to hear the Coach thoughts on this... whoever is coaching you.

We never gonna bluff this river, cuz pairing the board discount a lot of our value combos, so i am checking behind here with QT, cuz don't expect to get called by worse, since we never bluff.

On other side, i never call with Q8 or worse, cuz i don't expect worse Qx valuebet and don't expect enought bluffs on this river which i can catch with my bluffcatcher.

Why halfpot on every street?

I like to bet 4, 4.5 or even 5 on the flop because vs an unknown halfstack I assume he's kind of passive (since he's probably fishy) and the only hands calling are either Qx or PPs.
On the turn I agree that the bet should be slightly smaller since in my experience they fold vs 2nd barrels a lot and I'd like to keep his callingrange as wide as possible.
I'm not too concerned about protection since he folds almost all hands that would now have a draw on the flop.

On the river I also bet very small, as mentioned there's almost nothing worse he would call even vs a halfpot-bet, I think it's way too optimistic to assume he'd ever call a PP vs a third barrel unless it's supersmall.

This is not 'real' HU, it's a starting 6max table so I wouldn't assume HU-ranges apply, esp since the opponent is most likely not a reg.
