  • A new horizon

I've been offered, and accepted, a backing+mentoring deal of my own. Karma baby! :f_love:

I don't wish to reveal by who'm, but he plays up to NL5k SH. Never had any real coachings with him (so yea, can't be TT ;)) but I've seen some of his videos and graphs aswell as railed him a few times so I know he's a good player. However, the mentoring/coaching isnt the key part for me.

It's a "limit climb" deal. He puts up x% of the bankroll, I put up x%. Every month, I get to cash out a part of my winnings, but his part stays in the bankroll until the deal is over. That way, we can hopefully climp to NL100 pretty soon. When he/we feels I'm ready for NL100 but haven't made enough money, we'll just top up both of us. Once I have a decent bankroll to play NL100, the deal will end and I'll just keep playing on my own. Or we move up to NL200 :f_p: Who knows.

This is why I think it will be beneficial for me:

- Atm, I'm not playing NL50 on fulltime myself due to my bankroll and having to cash out monthly. So the deal won't really make an impact as in giving up equity for no reason.
- We expect I make it to NL100 very soon. Which then equals to playing ~NL50 anyway. I'd have to grind NL50 myself anyway for a few months before having the bankroll to move up to NL100.
- I get free NL100 experience instead of grinding out NL50. Once I play on my own, I will be established on the limit already as opposed to having to struggle with moving up on my own.
- No more worrying (worrying requires energy, and we only have so much!) and moving up and down between NL25 and NL50.
- Even if I break even or make a slight profit one month, I can cash out from my inital bankroll (the part I don't invest myself) without worries.
- If I lose 5 BI on NL50 I don't have to move down, and still able to cash out.
- I can save most of my cashouts for my own NL100 roll. Will only spend what I need from what I cash out.
- I get extra mentoring/coaching.
- I can focus 100% on making the right decisions and stay focused on my game and improving.

The way I see it there isn't really a downside to it. Win/win situation.

So excited and can't wait to get started. I'm obv running guuut. Hard work pays off! :)

xoxo

Wow, that is some sick news!
I've been away a few days and not able to monitor blogs, but why the hell was yours the last thread on the second page? That doesn't seem right!!!

Anyway, GL with the mentoring and keep crushing!

heheh, thanks for putting it back on the first page, was actually just about to post something

I haven't updated much in last days because we've been sorting out some stuff with the stake. But I played my first session today, and all I could think of to express how I feel is this:

I'm so exciiiited, and I just can't hiiiide it... paaararaaaapaaa! :f_love:

It feels greeeeat. I'm ready to crush NL50.

Now off to sweat my coach a bit before playing another session of my own. :f_cool:

Off to a very good start so far. I only know the result of the first session, since I couldn't hide my cashier by then. I have now found a way to hide my cashier, used my paintskills and remodeled the lobby myself :f_cool:

I just feel like I'm in a momentum, and that I run the tables just like it should be. I don't feel like anyone is giving me much trouble and feel like I play great. I did spew in one hand that was a 4b pot, but in the end it turned out my guts were right anyway.

Have come to an agreement with coach that if I manage 15 BI profit by end of month or so, we'll start moving up to NL100. :f_love: He did say not to take a victory for granted and keep working hard anyway (which is ofc what I will do).

I've managed to get my 3bets sorted aswell, played 21/18/9 yesterday. Gotta keep getting it right, and prolly still 3b a bit more from CO and MP vs UTG and MP vs the right guys. Will be using the new HUD soon aswell, as soon as coach have taught me how to use it. It's designed to exploit leaks of regulars postflop. Watch out ya'll! :f_cool:

Feeling great. Just wanted to share some love :f_love:

xoxo

hey vonki, just saw ur vid with TT and I really wonder about something. At the recording did you guys use skype or vent/TS ? What kind of microphone and soundcard do you have? Its amazing how clear your voice is, and I got alot of problems with my mic, like constantly...so please tell me the secret

hey OZSA!

There is no real secret. All we use is camtasia, skype-call and teamviewer. I send my video to twicet, he opens teamviewer so I can watch what happens, he calls me up on skype and records it all with Camtasia Studio. With the new camtasia it picks up both voices. =) I don't know what soundcard I have tbh I just know I have a Fijitsu Amilo notebook Li 3910 (and only because it says so on it ).

We both do have pretty expensive headsets. Last episodes TT borrowed his brothers headset which is suppose to be like the best gaming headset avaliable or so. I myself have a wireless headset which cost me €80 or something. I bought it because my speakers on the laptop sucks to play loud music, so when I wanna dance around and clean up or do the dishes listening to loud music I can do so without a problem :f_love:

Sorry I can't be of more help but i'm not exactly a technical genious :f_confused:

oh and I was thinking you have some professional headset (300EU+) but now I realize the trick.. the reason you have so clear voice and no static noise at all like TT (or like everyone else) because you use a laptop and laptops have no noise like PCs due to the very small cooler size..I see. thanks
and yea, if you wanna listen to music, always use headphones, thats like nr.1 in my bible :)
