Did you choose to take the 50$ instead of the deposit bonus?
If you did that may be why since they cannot give americans any money for online gambling.
Try changing it so you are just applicable for the deposit bonus.
because it is illegal to gamble online in the states and they would be breaking federal law in the states.
Just like you would be breaking federal law by gambling online if you are living in the states.
it is not illegal to gamble online in the states there are sites that still allow u.s. players..............If it was completely illegal sites like pokerstars,full tilt, ultimate bet and so forth would be in big trouble for allowing u.s. players
Trust me online gambling in the states is illegal and although some sites may allow you to do it does not mean that it is legal. Unlike china the US is still a free democracy and therefore does not have a massive firewall blocking you from specific websites etc.. So yes they give you the freedom to break the law.

In 1961 there was a law (the Wire Act) that was introduced to prevent people from gambling electronically (at the time was specific to gambling over the phone) which the gov't applies to the internet (bit of a grey area), so yes it is illegal for a person to gamble online. The law that you are refering to was implemented to target online casinos that were setup offshore such as in the carribbean etc. altough the WTO pretty much nulified that law, since the states cant really proscute companies outside of its borders. The federal gov't doesnt really do anything about online gambling specifically prosecuting individuals but the state gov't (depending on the state) has been known to prosecute individuals (although never actualy penalized anyone). The problem being they have difficulties tracking the fund transfers since banks are not cooperating with the gov't.
this is very annoying, i looked at the sites with deposit bonuses to take that option but none of the sites offered accept u.s. players
i beleive full tilt and pokerstars accept US players and offer deposit bonus. Basically you would be signing up using the PS code so that you could get PS points to read their content and videos (which are great). Possibly part poker as well.
I would not worry so much about how much extra money you get for signing up with these sights as much as the amount of strategy points you get for playing at these sights as well as the type of poker you plan on playing (rake structure etc.) the knowledge and skill that PokerStrategy offers will make you far more money that what they can offer you in a bonus.

None of the leading managers of these poker rooms can travel to the US because they risk to get arrested. And the UIGEA is also the reason why we are not allowed to give you the $50.
