2 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, 2 folds, SB raises to $0.20, BB calls $0.16, Hero calls $0.08

Flop: ($0.60) A :spade: A :diamond: 4 :club: (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.30, BB raises to $0.48 all in, Hero calls $0.18, SB calls $0.18

Turn: ($2.04) 8 :diamond: (3 players - 1 is all in)
SB bets $3.19 all in, Hero folds

River: ($2.04) 5 :spade: (2 players - 2 are all in)

I was waiting for the blinds to reach me to leave the table, i get 3bet by SB, which had relatively high 3bet stats, but after BB coldcalls i called to play the hand in position getting 1:6.5. It's checked to me and i want to see where im at, i dont like BB shove, but i figured i might extract some value from SB on later streets, so i call to reevaluate on the turn.

Hey,

You should still fold. Direct odds have nothing to do with setmining in general, you need implied odds. Looking at stacksizes, there is 1 guy who even has less than you so you don't get much money from him when you hit your set

What is more dangerous is what you do here; you try to hit a set preflop , you didn't succeeded and now you play your PP for pair value which is not very good

I either shove preflop if SB plays pretty loose or fold preflop

Best regards,
Gerv
