[Closed] [nl400] River?

I think I'd check/call the river. But why not bet the flop? Were you expecting a bluff from him?

if you decided not to cbet the flop oop why did you bet turn ? that turn certainly doesnt look to improve your hand . as played i would check call it down but you took a strange line imo by not cb ...

He was propably after for a c/r flop. Atleast I don't contibet to this kind of board with nothing, so sometimes it's good to balance things with a c/r when you got something.

As played I think it's best to check/call river, I don't think many worse hands call you if you bet yourself and if you bet small, I don't think you could call a big raise which aggressive players could do with some worse hands than yours.

hmmm ... what do you want to flop in BvB situation with k t ? trips to continue beting ? i think is mandatory to cb that flop . if you get raised i am inclined in folding . but going after a check raise here i think is bad here and is a exploitable play by good regulars at nl400 imo . i guess in this situation you should go for a check raise with either a strong draw , a floped straight a set etc or with air . because if he shoves on you , you wont know what to do

Maybe I explained myself bad. Let's say I got AQo here and the flop is this. I wouldn't contibet even against 1 player because there are lots of straightdraws/flushdraws/2pairs etc etc that will call or raise me and I don't have anything. So I just check. Usually good players notices this that I don't cbet with nothing to this board and they bet out with any 2 cards they have and I have to fold.

But sometimes (not always!) it's good not to contibet here even when you do have something here, especially against aggressive players. They often bet again with any 2, with a check/raise on flop you can mix up your play + get some value from total trashands of villain + it protects your hand against draws a lot better. I hope you got what I was looking after.

i understand what you are saying but what i mean . is better check raising here with a q for example then with k 10 because it s a shity place to get 4 beted . hope you get my point

Well, the range with he would 4bet is definetly more narrow than range he would raise the contibet with It's never easy to play TPTK / overpair type of hands into very drawy board when facing aggression anyway.

I c-bet the flop and go with my hand. Sometimes he may have JJ+, but often he may move or think his QT/JT/T9 hand is good. As played, I check the river and decide based on the betsize - I don't think he has a flush as he'd typically bet the flop. He may have flopped a set. If he bets big on the river, I don't assume that he bluffs that often in this spot.
