BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $5, BB folds, MP1 calls $5,00.

He seemed to be a pretty passive player, so is bet/fold a better option here than check behind and calling a smaller bet on the river if it's a blank?

I´d bet more on the flop ~6.5 and bet /call the turn . His pf play puts him on AJ+,TT+ so youre probably ahead

Hmm, I'm not sure that bet/call is such a good idea since as I said, he seemed to be quite a passive player, meaning he probably wouldn't raise me if he just had a TP.

Against a passive player, I bet/fold the turn and c/f the river. If I check, I typically have to call a bet on the river as it looks so weak. Hence, I can safely bet the turn on my own to get a free showdown.

Bet 6-7$ on that flop. Since MP 1 raised pf, he might hold AQ, AJ, QQ, set. Don´t think I have to protect here and for blyff induce I would check behind.
