Just wonder i should fold on turn or river, or it was ok to switch to calldown mode?
To me that is a bit hard , that one.
I think flop and turn is definitely a call. But river im a little unsure about.. He could have had a Q all the way or a straight draw like JK or J9 (unlikely since you hold 2 9s) maybe even AJ - AQ - AK which all of you beat. though i would discount AK since he should cap pre with that.
Depends on his playing style though, got any stats on him ?
On the river i dont see many hands that we beat other than a busted straight draw or a 4 or smaller pocketpair than ours. and again you cant really determine that without any reads on the villian. so if your read less i would probably fold the river.

You played fine.Without a read your hand is too strong to just fold flop.Especially since flop IP raises are usually much weaker than turn raises.
Turn then is quite good card for you and call is again mandatory.If turn was K,A I would preffer folding.
River is a very ugly card but Im still calling.Sure you shouldnt really beat much but its microstakes and unknown oponent.Fact that he might somtimes show you hand like A4,J8,air,... is not that impossible when you are getting 1:8,5
But its important to make a note of what he shows!
Wow I fold the river and feel 100% fine about it
J8o is most likely not in his CO opening range but even if it is and so is A4 he needs to ALWAYS raise and barrell these hands off for a call on the river to be anywhere near profitable.
I don't think any Standard micro player is raising a crappy pair in position vs a pre-flop 3-bettor from the BB and then barrelling it off as a bluff in order to get precisely 24 combos of hands to fold (99-66). They're much more likely to play the "damn it AK got there" and check back line.
Add that to the fact that our 3-betting range crushes this board and we have pretty much the 3rd or 4th worst hand in our range I can see folding being fine here.
To be honest my original thought was "Wow I prefer a flop fold to a river call here"
I'd certainly fold 88.

I would certainly fold it vs a known player who isnt capable of being out of line. But Ive seen too many players who do irrational stuff on these stakes and since there are not really many good players on these stakes his agression is quite often a sign of an overagressive player.
Yes I agree I kind of like folding flop more and more(even though I still dont mind calling down) but I certainly dont believe there is profit in folding river getting 1:8,5! 77,A4,... are hands which Ive seen there one time too many.
