What's the 5 most popular poker variant?

No, I'm from Indonesia. "Kyu Kyu" is a simple domino game and very popular here. Especially amongst gamblers ♦

I hear it come from Malaysia, and from the name, I guess it's a chinese etnic game. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm a recreational player and playing NLHE sometimes boring even though I try to mix SH, SNG, and MTT

No-one mentioned Badugi... Or however the hell it's spelt.. Seems lots of people play that now...

If you think FLHE is a past game, I think you'll find 5CD a paster game! FLHE is far from dead, and unless you're playing a decent low/mid stakes limit there are still loads of fish out there. 5CD is quite fun though and not a mistake to have a go at IMHO.

Well.... My main requirement is the variant have to be "the next omaha". It should be the next booming variant. No one give opinion about it so I guess It do not exist yet.

So why I choose 5CD over Omaha or FLHE?
Let's say I learned FLHE (or Omaha). After spending initial 30 hours learning basic materials, I will be "small fish" amongst others at lowest level. But with 5CD I think If I spend 10 hours I can be "medium fish". Why? the game looks so simple and there are too little study materials available

I take a look at pokerscout and I see that there are around 20 tables at Stars playing 5 CD lowest limit. So I think the game is quite decent

I forgot to mention one (most) important thing:
We have a (crazy) math prof blogging about 5CD right now. So this can't be wrong choice! :f_love:

But I already invest 1 hour skimming EvGalois articles about 5CD. Should I waste another hour for Badugi dugi ?(
